SkinWalker Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Lucas will cameo in the ROTS release according to these sources: http://www.theforce.net/latestnews/story/Lucas_To_Cameo_In_ROTS_89624.asp http://imdb.com/news/wenn/2005-02-18/ http://www.starwarz.com/tbone/movie_news/ I have to warn you, that last link above has a few spoilers... but if you search for "cameo," you'll find the newsbit I was talking about. Apparently he had a photo of Lucas in his role, but they made him pull it. Too bad... Star Wars director George Lucas will make a cameo appearance in the upcoming final film in the sci-fi series. Lucas is set to follow in the footsteps of Lord Of The Rings film-maker Peter Jackson by briefly appearing before cameras in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith, playing Baron Papanoida in an opera house scene. Jackson has immortalized himself on screen in all three Lord Of The Rings films, playing hobbit Albert Dreary, an uncredited Rohirrim Warrior and an unnamed Mercenary On Boat in The Fellowship Of The Ring, The Two Towers and Return Of The King, respectively.
El Sitherino Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Yeah, I saw this the other day(the picture too). Not bad an idea, it's going to most likely be the last Star Wars film, might as well go out having all the fun you can.
dark jedi 8 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 eh, whatever floats his boat. i just hope it isn't too obvious and take screen time away that in the end results in GL cutting precious seconds or even minutes from key fight scenes or battles.
El Sitherino Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 uhm... a cameo is a brief appearance, as in he'll be in the background. He's not going to have an entire scene devoted to himself.
90SK Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I would have prefered he Cameo as a Gungan in TFM. Oh well.
Ockniel Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 so, has anyone dug up that picture of him in his role yet? edit: oh sorry, it was ther all along from the thumb I thought it was a toy and the link when the above fails http://www.starwarz.com/tbone/images/movie_news/baron_papanoida_mw.jpg but you couldn't just followed the link anyways
