Emperor Devon Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Is there going to be a lot of dialogue with the new party members? For some recruit mods in KOTOR, you couldn't even talk to the new party members.

Usually 30 entries.

Shadow Blaze Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Looks good Darth Straker! This is another mod that I just can't wait to have.
Darth Straker Posted April 5, 2005 Author Posted April 5, 2005 I've added 3 pics of Chuurolw showing off his Sith skills to the Pics Compilation. It's the last 3.
Ranins Hull Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 well i for one love the idea of a sith wookie. i was hoping for a mod to turn haanhar into a jedi or sith, but this is just as good (if not better)
Keneth Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Bleh, it looks hillarious but it doesn't matter in the end it's still your mod and I'm gonna change the things I don't like to suit my wishes once it's on my computer anyway. So how are things coming, any set date of release yet?

Other than that, only the portraits.

So you shouldn't have to change anything if you don't want a Wookiee Jedi (unless you want two wooks in your party).

You can play through the whole game without recruiting anyone, except Darth Sion. All others are completely optional.
Emperor Devon Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 I have a question: Will you be able to talk to the new party members for lengthy periods of time, like you did with the old ones?

What do you mean "old ones" ? Like the Sith Armada I? Or are you talking about the traditional party NPC's (Atton,kreia....) If you are talking about the party NPC's, that's not very likely. I mean their dialogs have got over 300 entries. At the best I'll do 30 entries with each in which they'll tell their lifestory. Bastila and Mission may have bigger dialogs.

I was refering to the old NPCs like Kreia, Visas, etc. Just a suggestion, but for Mission's dialogue, you might want to include a reason for why she survived KOTOR. Maybe Revan realized there would be nothing to gain by killing her... the possibilities are vast. Will the characters have voices? There's a lot of Bastila and Mission dialogue which you could probably use from KOTOR... Can't wait for this mod to come out!
boinga1 Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Just wanted to add that this looks like a great mod with some great work, Straker. I wish I could skin - if I could, I'd consider doing something along these lines myself. As it is, I don't even have a .tga viewer.

Mission will have a twillek voice, Bastila won't have voice Of course I'll explain the reasons that led to Mission's fall and survival in Kotor I.

Like she said in Kotor I : "Most aliens know how to speak the basic, but they just prefer to speak their own language" or something like that.
boinga1 Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 /\ It's also a lot better than having another silent character. Silent movies were OK, but things got better when they added sound.
Emperor Devon Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Hmm, Bastila does have some dialogue (on Telos, the sith holocron, and T3's message) which you might be able to use... But it's not a lot.

Emperor Devon Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Why use material from just that? There's still dialogue with T3's hologram and on Telos.
Darth Straker Posted April 7, 2005 Author Posted April 7, 2005 Quote Originally posted by Emperor Devon Why use material from just that? There's still dialogue with T3's hologram and on Telos. Only a few lines I came a to a dilema, I don't think it's a good idea to remove Kreia and replace her with Atris. Here's why: 1- Only with Kreia it's possible to achieve the prestige classes. 2- She helps you a lot in recovering Force points and stuff like that. So , since I want Atris in my party, I'll remove Arienne from the mod. Atris will replace Mira/Hanharr NOTE: Arienne's face and body retexture will be included though.
Emperor Devon Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 I think that's a good idea - some people might be playing the game using the head Arienne is based off of - it would look kind of weird to see the main character and an NPC look so similar. By the way, how is it you'll recruit Atris? And what happens when you're supposed to fight her? The same question goes for Sion. So, how complete would say the mod is? 75%? 80%?

Just imagine that they joined you and then betrayed you. You'll always have to fight them, otherwise the game might crash. For Sion ther's no prob, since you can't use other NPC on Malachor, I can change his dialog to make it seem like he betrayed you. 75% 80%??? I wish that was true, maybe 65% I've done all reskining and spawns, but I need to do dialogs for 9 characters.
