Keiko
Greeting guys and gals, I was wondering if it is possible to increase the glow around your lightsaber, so you can acutally see the glow? I want to do this really bad, so if any one can help me I would be very grateful! Thanks! -Darthy:D
Prime
You mean like when you turn on frame buffer effects?
madog
You could open the .tpc file of every lightsaber color and edit the .tpc to where the glow is bigger course you need kotor Tool (thank you fred tetra). the dir for the files is Kotor II or Kotor I (which ever one you are editing for) -->ERFs -->TexturePacks -->swpc_tex_tpa.erf or swpc_tex_tpb.erf or swpc_tex_tpc.erf the difference is in the quality of the pics -->w and then the files are called w_lsabreblue01.tpc w_lsabregreen01.tpc w_lsabrepurp01.tpc w_lsabreyelo01.tpc w_lsabrered01.tpc and if editing Tsl then ALSO w_lsabreDgrn01.tpc (Dark Green) w_lsabregold01.tpc w_lsabresilv01.tpc w_lsabreturq01.tpc from there you extract the files and edit them using a photo editer that can support .tga file format there may be an easyer way to do it but if you dont find another way use this but Prime,s idea might work too

It's only noticable in dark areas, but it adds a colorless outer glow around your lightsaber, and it looks pretty good IMO. Looked excellent on xbox. I think the point of it is to reduce the problem with the lightsaber blade while you run. You know, that problem with the color glow disappearing while you run at certain angles. General Kenobi
yep, like madog said The "multi" colored sabers that you see sometimes are done with a very small gradient effect on a separate layer of the secondary internal color. The outer glow is just that, the outer glow. Kinda watch about raising the brightness and contrast or you can make your saber like a toothpick or a wiffle ball bat it's EXTREMELY easy once you see how to do one. Good luck hope this helps. Any more ??? post again and I'll try to help. DM

Det. Bart Lasiter
If you edit the .tga files then you'll have to make sure that you don't make the glow too wide or you'll end up with a bunch of rectangular planes sticking out of the center, and it's very noticeable. Try increasing the levels of the color of the original saber and adding more of the color to the edges of the lightsaber as well as not using (lscolor)->black gradients to dim the glow. Just make sure that you don't increase the glow radius more than a half inch or so. Also, Malak's model lightsaber seems to glow brighter (just set model variation to 6 in the .uti, even though it's only available in red this way it's better that nothing.)
