RicardoLuigi...
First of all, let me say that I love Supernanny...she is a genius. In regards to Nanny 911...I saw that show for the first time yesterday, and I have to say...it's very strange to have an entire squad of nazis nannies standing around their house and taking notes. Supernanny's so good, she only has to take mental notes. So my question to you is, who's better? Supernanny (who has amazing skin): Nanny 911 (who is an old hag): ...or this girl, a 32-year-old nanny from Encino, CA, who has made it to the final 5 on the most recent season of Survivor (feel free to click it for the link to her bio): Wow...I didn't know she had a belly ring. Ray Jones
I so wish i could edit polls. ;] [edit] Oh, and yes.. she has a belly ring.. and it seems as if her breasts head south not only during the winter months.
Alien426
Um, is Nanny 911 a parody like Reno 911!? They can't be serious about this... person. Ray is right. Let us vote for the survivor.
Skinkie
Oh its not a parody, its this show where this group of nannies picks the best one for any particular job and sends her off to manage horrible kids and fightin parents. Last nights was a 'big deal' according to the commercials as it would take all the nannies instead of just one. I've had the misfortune of catching the last few minutes of this show several times as I wait for 24 to come on. It's pretty bad.
DrMcCoy
...Such stuff is one of the many reasons I don't watch that much TV anymore... In fact, the only things I still watch are Star Trek and Nightwash (a comedy show set in a wash salon)...
Kjølen
I like to watch shows that were MEANT to be prerecorded, or where they are told what to do. You know... shows with stories. Reality TV is crap. Gameshows aren't that bad, they've been around forever. Oh and supernanny is cool.
Alien426
I only watch 3 series regularly: Lost, Monk and Stargate Atlantis. I'd watch Star Trek: TNG, too, but it starts too early. I'm also sometimes watching Desperate Housewives before Monk and plan to see the re-runs of Third Watch although they collide with Monk.
edlib
The Daily Show, The Simpsons, a few various Adult Swim offerings, and some of the news and political analysis shows on PBS are all I ever watch anymore.

It's damn stupid)). The characters seem so flat and uninteresting, it almost hurts...
Alien426
Hmm, there are some points that make it better than SG-1 (Wraiths are cooler than those porn-star Goa'ulds and their ugly golden designs) some make it worse (they try to make Sheppard like O'Neill). I don't know why you liked SG-1 if you have a beef with Atlantis' stupid stuff. They are both mostly dumb.

Originally posted by Alien426 I don't know why you liked SG-1 if you have a beef with Atlantis' stupid stuff. They are both mostly dumb. SG-1 had some "new" stuff, Atlantis is just too generic for my taste. And I never detected something so utterly stupid like not shooting the head when it would be the immediate solution to his problem. Sure, the Wraith can regenerate, so it's useless shooting the breast or the arm, but they surely can't when they're missing their damned brain! Ray Jones
Yes, that's true, but not an "Atlantis"-thing.. this is often "done wrong" in movies. I can't count anymore how often I felt the urge to beat down the tv while shouting SHOOT HIM IN THE M-FING FACE!!! On the other hand.. If you ever fired a weapon, it's not easy to hit something at 50+ meters, especially not such small things like heads. But then again.. He downed him, so why not secure the area with one or two in the head. .. I didn't liked SG-1 very much when it started, I thought it can't get worse if they take McGyver and some gay black hammer typee. But I got used to it and this "special" kind of humor. I don't like the character of Daniel much, but Teal'c and O'Neill rock. And I'm a bit unsure but Atlantis has a potential, it's story etc. just needs to develop a bit. Sure Sheppard seems to be O'Neill-ish but I don't think he will become a second O'Neill. [edit] DrMcCoy: "therefore, I decided to stop watching it after last weeks episode" There hasn't been another episode since last week, spoothead! And you know you will watch it tonight. Admit. It works for Full Metall Jacket but.. you know.. *shrug* ...Daniel is/was my favourite character... if(!strcmp(nick, "DrMcCoy") && !strcmp(avatar, "Spock")) return E_INSANE; The only problem I had with SG-1 was that it was a bit too military...I don't think so.. ...No, I really decieded to not watch it... I've gone through basic training and shooting from distances like ten meters with a pistol or a hundred with an assault rifle may seem easy for those who haven't done it themselves. Originally posted by DrMcCoy I liked the references to the Egyptian culture/gods That was great in the movie, but the series executed it badly. Like I said, I think the villain actors and design were crappy in SG-1. If only they could have used the talent of the movie. They should have at least stuck with the language. Skinkie
I love SG-1, I like the mythology references and the military thing, I like it all. Except the 'how do we write O'Neil out of the plot this time' syndrome that seasons 6 and especially 7 suffered from. And though I've only seen the first episode of Atlantis I thought it was pretty good (saving final judgement for the DVD release when I'll actually be able to watch them all) Other shows I watch regularly: Lost (incredible), 24 (never as good as the first year), Simpsons (getting better lately), Malcolm (never as good as the first 3 years)
