Hello to all!

I recently begun to experiment the world of mods for kotor 1 & 2. And I have to say that there are incredible material made by a lot of very creative people like all of you. Thanks so much to expand the fun time.

Well, like I said, I begun to use some mods with my kotor2 and I'm having a problem to see the name of some new items that those were added by some mods that I tried. The new items look without name and I have this problem with each mod that I downloaded. I tried them each one alone with the rest and I also I'm using the kotor mod manager.

I have to add that I'm using a spanish version of kotor2. So, I hope that someone can give me some tip about how to solve this problem, if exist a way.

Thanks for your time and great job all of you are doing.

You actually need to change the language settings within the GFF files like the uti's, utc's, utp's, & dlg files.

Darth333 suggested something like this I believe in one of the help tutorial threads at the top of the forums. This could be the wrong spot to look though.

:swear: You people and your high speed internet. You can search the forums and reply at the same time without crashing a browser or 2. Me I was working off of answer now and then find the proper resource and point the person there methods.:p \/\/\/\/

This is definately a language problem, most of us who make items have to enter the fields in the items .uti file itself so the text won't show for other language versions... but you are in luck as tk102 made a mod language converter program available here.

Or here is the direct download link... here. :D

Be sure to read the readme file on how to use the program...

If you have any problems with it you can post them in this thread here.

I hope this helps! :D

EDIT: *RedHawke throws shoe at Darkkender*

Hmm... tk102 made a language converter program for just this problem some time ago... silly bard! :roleyess:

J/K DK! :D... Or Not! :eyeraise:

Bienvenido/a a los foros Mighella :)

Redhawke just explained everything already :)

I just wanted to add that if you are also looking for mods in Spanish, you will find a few translations on this page (scroll down under the Kotor logo): http://www.clandlan.net/index.php?file=TRADindex.htm

Most of these mods are early Kotor mods and there are not tons of them but you'll find some fun "classics" such as "El sótano del Halcón de Ebano" (Shosey's Ebon Hawk Basement) y "Arena" (by Talchia). All the translations have been made with the permission on the authors of the mods. You will also find a revised Spanish .tlk table where some translation mistakes have been fixed (traduccion mejorada).

Thanks so much for the information about the website with mods in spanish, darth.

I used the dlgconv with the .uti files and nothing changed. The .dlg files could be converted sucessfuly but not the .uti files.

I'm going to check out the website with the mods translated.

By the way, darth, it's very strange for me to see something answer me in spanish. Thank you to be so polite with me.

And thanks to all for helped me out with this issue.

Depending on what you are looking for, there are a few other mods translated but not posted yet. The recruitable Bandon mod has been translated but is not available for public download. Just PM me if you are interested.

lol! In fact I learned Spanish well before learning English :D but since these boards are English language boards, let's keep the discussion in English
