The_Maker
Alrighty then, I have 2 problems this time. 1st, whenever I make a new portrait and use it ingame it either appears transparent or all one color. I save the portrait tga as a 32bit tga in RGB mode, but I still cannot get it to work. Second problem, I tried to change the song for when you fight darth malak at the end of K1 to darth vaders theme but whenever the fight starts there is no music. It is about 45 seconds long and I compressed it with Miles Sound studio so now its around 800kb (before it was 3 megabytes). I saved the new song with the old title and added an "o" the the end of the old song title so nothing is overwritten but it won't work. Do I need to change something in the music.2da or do I need to save the song with a special setting? I am really confused and would much appreciate it if anyone could help me out with this

General Kenobi
Try not compressing it and using the 3MB version. That might do the trick as I'm just thinking it might not like a compressed file or some such For the head I'd double check and make sure you pointed the right character to the right portrait. And oddity between the two and they wouldn't work correctly. General Kenobi

Darkkender
Portraits don't have an alpha channel. You should save them as 24 bit TGA's instead, and it will probably work. While it is true that they don't use alpha channel it is better to save as 32bit as a standard with all tga's that way you avoid any chance of forgetting on a texture file. Now the real question is what are the dimensions of the photograph file. If it is not 128x128 exactly then it will not showup. So I would double check your files dimensions. All the standard portraits that come with the game are 24 bit TGA's though. While it does work to save them as 32 bit as well, then you'd need to remember to re-open the portrait and white out the alpha channel that gets added when you save as 32 bit. Otherwise Photoshop (if you use that) will add it as all black, which will make the portrait fully transparent. So it's a matter of not forgetting something either way. TheOssusKeeper
Originally the song was the 3mb version and it didn't work then either =( @stoffe I will try that what is the extension at the end of your music file? the original will be .wav if i remember correctly, the new one should be .mp3 (give that a try)... The_Maker
Hmmm, I didn't think it needs to be an mp3 because the original was a wav file. You sure it needs to be an mp3? o.
tk102
It should be able to handle either. Mp3 is a safe, compressed format and one that I'd recommend. I assume you're putting this in the streammusic folder?
The_Maker
Yes of course, I sill cant get it to work though, as for the portrait, still no luck, saved it as 24 bit and 32 bit but it just aint working. Maybe I am saving it with the wrong name but I am almost sure I saved it witht he same name or the original... *Meh* Maybe I will try fixing it again later today because right now I am depressed that it aint workin Edit: Ok, I got the portrait working... even though the first time it was used a a 24 bit it didnt work it works now... I still am having problems with the music, I renamed it with an mp3 extension but that didnt do it, what else should I try?
TheOssusKeeper
all the files in the streammusic folder are mp3 files with the .wav file extension... you can basically just change the extension from .wav to .mp3 to work with these files... however they can be tempermantal sometimes and you will have to convert the .wav file to an .mp3 via a convertor (hence the tempermantal part and note i said somethimes)... however, really all you need to do is replace the original file with the new one (after backing it up of course) and make sure the ext. is .mp3 (make sure your new file is true mp3 though)... it should work for you, i messed around with it a little while back, i replaced Atris' theme song with the Ghost in the Shell: SAC theme song and it worked great for me...
