First off: Welcome to the forums here at Holowan luan43 :D

You will need first programs:

KotorTool

Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or any other pixel based editor

Then for the lightsaber colors you need to extract them utilizing KotorTool. Once you have KotorTool installed and directories pointed to your TSL dir and/or KOTOR dir you need to use it to find the following:

w_lsabreblue01

w_lsabreDgrn01

w_lsabregold01

w_lsabregren01

w_lsabrepurp01

w_lsabrered01

w_lsabreSilv01

w_lsabreturq01

w_lsabreyelo01

Then extract them to a folder on your desktop or somewhere you'll remember them.

Then open up the saved .tga files you extracted with your pixel editing program like photoshop. Zoom in about 500% and you can see the gradiations in the color from the center dot is the core color and the surrounding is it's glow.

You can use (in Photoshop) the adjustments hue/saturation and brightness and contrast to adjust the saber blade to your liking.

Remember black = transparant ( as you'll see the .tga's are mostly black ) so just keep that in mind ;)

Lastly when done save the files as a .tga or (Targa) 32-bit files.

Drag them into your override folder (if you don't have one create it in your TSL or KOTOR dir)

Hope that helps you get started a bit,

Unfortunately NO, BUT you can download a trial version of photoshop which I believe you can use, also there is a program called GIMP that is a pixel based editing program, HOWEVER I have no clue how to use it since I've never even seen it :D

I'd try the trial of photoshop first or that GIMP program.

Click Here For Adobe's Tryout Page For Download

i cant save the file as tga only as tpc and my photoshop doesnt seem to work with this files.plz help again sorry.

It shows up the texture files as .tpc in ktool ;)

Just make sure you click on the file (double clicking loads it's picture if you have a pixel editor installed and you told ktool what to use) and hit EXTRACT

It will pop up a dialogue box that asks if you want to save as a .tga or a .tpc

Click save as tga and you will be asked then where to save it to.

Hey luan43,

Try double-clicking the .tpc file in KotOR Tool. Once the window opens showing the graphic, select "Write File" and save the file somewhere to your system. This should convert the .tpc to .tga enabling you to use a graphic editing program.

and Welcome to the Forums! :waive1:

EDIT: I see General Kenobi beat me to it! :fist: hehehe...

Yep what ChAiNz said :D

Ooh did you set your path for viewing? If not open Kotortool and click on

File/Manage Paths then click on the "Other Paths" tab Make sure your image viewer is set to your pixel editing program.

Like this for example: (mine do not use this)

C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Fireworks MX\Fireworks.exe

That is the viewer I use on this particular machine. You'd point to your own though ;)
