ZBomber
Today, I'm going to see THE ROLLING STONES! They're playing in Hartford. I can't wait, this is my first concert. I'm gonna try to sneak a camera/video camera in. Concert starts at 8, and they have a crappy band opening for them (Maroon 5 :(). Whatever, we'll all probably be getting high in the parking lot or something. >_> I'm gonna be leaving in about 1-2 hours.

RoxStar
Still stuffing a microphone in your crotch? Have a good time, and I happen to like Maroon 5, so I am doubly jealous.
ZBomber
http://thelastchild.net/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=75&t=1732&st=0#entry18390 What a GREAT CONCERT! We got there around 4:30, it was CROWDED. I didn't see anyone from Shidoobee, but oh well. We walked around for a bit, and then it was time to go in. The first time we tried to go in, they patted us down, found the camera, said we couldn't bring it in. Head over to another entrance, this time a metal detector. Caught the camera. Thinking we can't get it in, we return the cameras to the car. Go back. THEY PAT THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY DAD'S POCKET. Thats it! They didn't even pat me down.... Erg, oh well! We're in there, get a drink, check out our seats. THEY'RE AWESOME! Section 139, left side of the stage, row 6 seats 7 and 8! We musta been 20 feet away from the stage! Anyways, Maroon 5 comes on. They started with this cool instrumental. It went down hill from there. I never heard Maroon 5 before, but the singer got on my nerves! He has the most annoying voice ever.... Anyways, their set was about 45 minutes. Everyones waiting for the Stones. 9:40. DA DA DA! Lights go out, opening riffs start. Start Me Up - This was awesome! Not my favorite song, but Mick came out in a bright pink coat! One thing I noticed, his voice sounded different. Not bad, but different. Maybe it's just me, it might just be how they sound live. You Got Me Rocking - Great! Mick sounded really good here! Shes So Cold - It has some weird video, kinda annoying if you can't see them good, but they sounded pretty good. Tumblin Dice - Not as good live, but it had me rockin! Rough Justice - This song sounds sooooo good! Its pretty much the same as the Fenway one. Ruby Tuesday - NICE! New song in the concert list! Mick sounded different here too, but no complaints. Everyone sang along with the chorus. Beast Of Burden - Another great ballad, glad they kept this in. Besides the part where they say "pretty pretty girl" it was flawless. All Down The Line - Another new song to make the set. I don't like the song that much, but fans of this song have something to look forward to. The end was pretty cool. Get Up Stand Up - This was the highlight of the night. I loved this song. On the video screen, they had pics of Bob Marley. The stage was lit in his colors - red, yellow, and green. Infamy - Didn't see anyone leave to get a beer. I didn't like this song, the chorus was cool but the rest was average. The Worst - Keith did a great job here! KEITH FOR PRESIDENT! He sounded great! Another highlight! Miss You - Whats to say, you either like the song or not. I love it. Oh No Not You Again - First time I heard this, kinda reminded me of Rough Justice. Satisfaction - The boys were REALLY ROCKIN THIS ONE! The whole stadium was singing along "I CAN'T GET NO! I CAN'T GET NO!" Honky Tonk Women - Not bad! The flower tongue was goin at full. I thought this would suck live but I liked it! Out Of Control - I never heard this before. Is it new? Not much to say. I thought it was all right, lots of people sat down here. Sympathy For The Devil - This kicked ass live! They had fire goin on when Keith (I think) started playing. It was great! I hope this becomes a regular in the set! Jumpin Jack Flash - I got scared here! Mick said good night at the end, I thought it was the end, luckily they still had one song left. Another stadium rocker. I personally like studio better though. Brown Sugar - This didn't live up to my expectations. I thought it'd be a lot better, but it was sub par. Mick did go up and down the walkway I think during this, if not this song, it was around this time. ENCORES! Everyone is standing and clapping! You Can't Always Get What You Want - WOW! THIS! SONG! ROCKS! Everyone was singing along. This was one of the best moments of my life. The walkway might have been this song, now that I think of it, I think it was. Its Only Rock N Roll - Another good song. Great way to end the best night of my life. Everyone singing again. You could tell Hartford loves these boys! At the end, the whole band waved and bowed to everyone. Keith and Ronnie were SMOKIN! Guitars sounded great! This is my first concert, what a way to start it! Things I bought: 2 Tour shirts (Tongue exploding and the album cover) Tour Program Album Cover poster

ZBomber
Its actually a really ****ty song, despite the lyrics. They just don't sound good in a song.
CapNColostomy
Badass man, I'm gald you enjoyed it. I'm not a big Stones fan, but I certainly envy you getting to hear some of those songs live. ****ing legends. You gotta love 'em, even if you hate 'em. That must have kicked much ass. "When I'm watching my TV and a man comes on and tells me how white my shirts can be, but he can't be a man cause he doesn't smoke the same cigarettes as me". Some of the best lyrics ever, and words to ****ing live by for sure.
ZBomber
I know! To be honest, when I got tickets at first, I didn't really care too much about the Stones. But my parents knew this is gonna be one of their last tours, and if I missed it I'd hate myself. I'm so glad they got tickets now! They made the crowd come to life, it's really a magical thing to see a band connect to an audience like that. Everyone stood and clapped for about 20 minutes at the end of the show, no one wanted them to go! I really wish I got a camera in! I don't like reggae at all, but the Bob Marley tune (Get Up Stand Up) was just.... incredible. I didn't think they could pull it off. Luckily, I got some (****ty) pics on my camera phone. I got a good picture of the stage, but you can't see the band very good. I'll put them on the computer tommarow. Oh, also, I did find out, it was during You Can't Always Get What You Want that Mick went down the catwalk all the way to the other side of the stadium. It's not like the studio version, at all. My only disapointment is they cut out the song Shattered, I woulda prefered that over Out Of Control, which I never even heard and is off one of their worst albums. I'm shaking as I'm typing this, thinking about all of it. I gotta go to sleep.

ZBomber
Part 2.... I believe this was the beginning to Miss You Miss You - Stage floating across the crowd to the B STAGE! The giant inflatable tongue during Honky Tonk Women! It was great, the tongue went up and down!
