DarkStarMojo
Hello, everyone. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this since I'm not just showcasing some screens but also asking for help. If the mods feel this thread should be moved somewhere else, that's fine by me. Anyway, on to business... Anyone who's visited the Dark Forces Mod forum recently might have heard of the Jedi Knight Mod, a recreation of the LucasArts classic which is slowly being developed for JA. We are a small team right now and we are looking to expand, hence the point of this thread, which to attract the attention of independent mod-makers who might not visit the DFMod forum but might be interested in helping out by joining the team. We currently need the following positions filled: Mappers, Modellers, Texture Artists, Coders/Scripts At the moment we are using our team leader Shamus website but due to personal concerns he is unable to update regularly or manage the team full-time. The website is located at http://shamusworld.gotdns.org/df2mod/news.html Please pay it a visit, look in our texture databse, and recreate any textures that have yet to be done or you feel you might be able to do a better job at. If anyone is interested in joining and has the skills and time necessary to be part of an ongoing mod project (this will likely take a great deal of time to make, so we need patient people as well) please pm me with your information (skills, what position you want, and any links to any materials you've released) and I will contact you with further information on our end. Also feel free to reply, comment, etc. in this thread or contact Shamus at df2modtryouts@yahoo.com. As an added bonus here as some screens of The Double Cross on Nar Shaddaa as mapped by the DFMod team's Karrackoo. http://home.arcor.de/karrackoo/_extras/screenshots/bar1.jpg http://home.arcor.de/karrackoo/_extras/screenshots/gangway2.jpg http://home.arcor.de/karrackoo/_extras/screenshots/out1.jpg Cheers, DarkStarMojo

DarkStarMojo
I want to make it clear to everyone in the community that Shamus is our team leader and is using all his available time to shephard things along. I am simply trying to make sure everyone and their mother knows of the existence of this mod so if they're interested in helping they won't hesitate to do so. The suggestion that people contact me is only so that we can set them up with something to do until Shamus can evaluate their level of work and decide whether or not to make them official members of the team by giving them access to his server where the JK materials are stored and membership on the team forums. His DF2Mod email address is df2modtryouts@yahoo.com. Contact him with any materials, screenshots, etc. you'd like to submit for evaluation. Also, we have a texture detabase on the webpage and anyone is free to try recreating any of those textures (and if you can do better than the recreation, go for it!). Just some things I forgot to mention in my haste to get out that last post or didn't make clear enough in the first place. EDIT: Made changes to my first post clear some things up. Zappa_0
I make videos and JA and would love to help do trailers and stuff for the team and the mod. Also on the out pics (http://home.arcor.de/karrackoo/_extras/screenshots/out1.jpg) You should get the mapper to take the rails off, since the original game didnt have any. Also I have played since JKDF2, and would also like to be an adviser to the mod. That is if it is possible to do so.
riceplant
I wouldn't mind helping out a bit, if I'd be of any use. I'm quite good at the technical stuff (scripting and the like), but not so great at the design part (I haven't released anything because my maps always turn out looking rather plain). That said, recreating existing areas shouldn't be too hard, any ideas what I should try my hand at? (I own every Jedi Knight game, by the way)
jedispy
Hey JK guys, I still don't see you on MODDB. Seriously, we (SOTE MOD) have gotten more recruitment via moddb than anywhere else. SOTE mod has need for a lot of similar assets to DF2 & MOTS mods. Anything we make (models, textures, code, etc...) is yours if you want them.
