x8c4
Hello to everyone I have noticed, when I play on TSL, that textures from the original Kotor are not in high quality. I have made a test with the high quality texture of an ithorian taken from Kotor, and it’s really better, but it only works for me if I keep the original tpc format. My wish would be to make a list of all Kotor textures used in TSL, and in the future, work on TSL textures. I would like to ask you if something like that is already made, and otherwise, I wanted to know if someone would be interested in. Thanks
TheProphet
No, notihng like this has been done, but I must ask you a question. What is it exactly you are planning to do? Do you want to replace some of the Kotor 2 Textures with textures from Kotor 1? If so then you cant. You can technically, but not legally. LA has put a block on porting any models from one game to TSL. Its a tough law, but we have to live by it. -Gsccc
x8c4
Nothing illegal I just wanted to make the list of the textures which are in best quality in kotor 1, so the people who have the two games will be able to see the list and then, they take themselves the textures from their kotor 1 and put them in the kotor 2 override directory. Is it legal?

Is it legal? Maybe. But I can tell you that LF dosen't permit disussion of how to port game content. Even if you idea is technically legal, the mods here have decided this type of thing is too close to the fenceline to disuss.
x8c4
Thanks to you, Bob Lion54, If LF dosen't permit disussion of how to port game content, I prefer not to make something illegal. But I would like to know if someone would like to see "reskins" of levels only by modifying TSL textures?
masterchief2491
But I would like to know if someone would like to see "reskins" of levels only by modifying TSL textures? modifying textures for levels isnt really hard and depending on what you reskin it to lots people would download it i myself am in the process of doing stargate style reskins of levels and its really quite symple... only problem is when you wana reskin the grass on a particular level. quite often they use the same grass texture in all the levels... that can make turning dantoine for example into a desert more problematic then youd think... still its actually possible in a program as simple as ms paint and you'll probably find alot of people interested. good luck
Nur Ab Sal
Bastila model is already in TSL so I don't have to port her. Now what if want to fix her texture rate to match TSL models like Handmaiden?
T7nowhere
OE did down grade several K1 textures for TSL, Most of the creatures and aliens have lower k1 textures in K2. In paticular OE removed the the alpha channel on the mandalorians, Removed the bumpmaps on Hutts and lowered the textures and ofcourse the Ithorians(this doesn't make sense to me considering they are important Aliens in TSL.
