Analia
With Kotor 1 is there any way I can change all the party members names other than my own?
Achilles
Huh? You can change party NPC names temporarily (length of the game) with KSE, or permanently by editing their respective .utc files. All this is assuming that I came close to understanding what it was you were asking for. If I missed entirely, then my apologies.
Analia
You understood me completely, how do I get KSE tho?
Achilles
The stuck topics at the top of the main page might be a good place to start http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=143413 BTW: KSE is short for KotOR Savegame Editor. It can be found on PCGameMods.
Bob Lion54
Just to point out, its going to be really odd when the cutscenes refer to them by their old names. Hehe. Might be kinda funny actually

Darth333
Why not get the latest version of KSE? The version at pcgm is an old one and KSE has been upgraded since then. Not only the new version supports both Kotor and TSL but it has a bunch of new features. You can get it from our website: http://www.starwarsknights.com/tools.php
Achilles
Doh! I always forget about SWK. Sorry about that Darth333

shamelessposer
Does anyone know if there is a scripting function to allow you to change the name of an NPC? Right now I'm looking for a way to give your Sith apprentice his or her very own "Darth" name. I don't mean a little text box popping up allowing the player to change the name of the character himself... more along the lines of "You are no longer Canderous Ordo. From this day forward, you shall be Darth Sanguine." And then, from there, the name "Darth Sanguine" will replace the name "Canderous." Is there a way to do that? It's possible to do a name change indirectly via a workaround with custom tokens, but it's a far from perfect solution if you use it on a party member, since you'd need to re-set the token every time you enter a new module/area as string tokens aren't set game-wide, only on a per-module basis. shamelessposer
Hmm... in that case, screw it. Thanks, though!

Couldn't you make a work around by recruiting a custom NPC whose UTC file is identical to the original party member, with the exception of the name? Leaving the tags and stuff alone, so as not to break the plot.
