toms Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Rupert Murdoch's Fox corporation have just bought IGN (games website). Which if (like me) you think newscorp is the cause of most of the world's ills isn't exactly great news. Still, in better news for a free press, a Saudi prince has bought a 5% share in Newscorp in order to help out Murdoch from a possible takeover bid. Expect many stories of a fair and balanced perspective about the wonderfully human-rights aware saudi's and their amazing computer games...
IG-64 Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 And here's a link for good measure. Not quite sure what to think of this right now... I don't know if this will be a good thing or a bad thing. Guess we'll find out.
TiE23 Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 A "Why George Bush is a good president" speech every time you post. Ehh, thats okay, I got to IGN to post sometimes, but really use GameSpot for all of my game stuff.
Darth Andrew Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 O noes! T3h FOX neo connies ar3 tak1ng 0v3r t3h w0rld11!!!1111!! Ehh, thats okay, I got to IGN to post sometimes, but really use GameSpot for all of my game stuff.Same here.
lukeskywalker1 Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 I've done some thinking. I think that IGN will remain the same, except Fox's logo will be put everywhere... which doesn't make that much of a difference. And if you don't like the logo you can always adblock it
