Dagobahn Eagle
Today, on September 12th, 2005, I'm going to vote for the first time in my life! I was torn for a long time as to who to vote for, but I've decided to go for a left-wing party called the "Red Coalition", for their promises to fight violence, assault, and abuse. No right-wing or Christian for this guy! I just hope the party will do well so that I won't be responsible for voting a bunch of morons into power:p. Kain
I just hope the party will do well so that I won't be responsible for voting a bunch of morons into power:p. Every politician is a moron who wants power. Its a scientific fact.
Breton
Congrats with your voting! Nice choice, too ...would be fun to have Torstein Dahle on the parliament Myself, I voted in the school elections. And for everyone who have no idea what we are talking about: There's parliament election in Norway today, and the choice is between a christian-conservative goverment supported by the populists, or a "red-green" socialist/enviromentalist goverment. Obviously, we prefer the latter
Pie™
And well, as "Høyre" (right wings here) are about as far left as Michael Moore, you can imagine how radical left-wing RV are. (The most radical of the major parties) Marxism ftw. \o/
toms
Yay!! So you still have the bit where you realise that your vote had absolutely no effect whatsoever to look forward too....
Dagobahn Eagle
Me and Pie voted for [RV] at the school election. And they finished last:p. Yay!! So you still have the bit where you realise that your vote had absolutely no effect whatsoever to look forward too.... I think I just realized:D. Why do I have the feeling that this thread will end up in the Senate:p?
Pie™
Well, we got a leftist government, and most of the Christians are out of the paliament, so I daresay it was a good election.

Tyrion
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwegian_parliamentary_election%2C_2005 Red Green Coalition won, apparently. They're socialists apparently, too. I didn't know Norway was full of commies.
Breton
Yep, the Red-Green coalition won the majority, 87 mandates vs 82 This means a new course for Norway, that will focus more on education, health and reducing poverty rather than tax breaks. It will also (hopefully) give a warmer society with room for everyone, no matter their culture, gender or sexual orientation. It was unfortunate that the far right populist party got their best election ever, but the Labour Party also had a great election and ensured a red-green majority (The leaders of the three red-green coalition parties celebrate the election) And by the way, socialists and communists are two wildly different things. Pie™
Even though our socialism fits the American idea of communism pretty good.
