*cough*

well then,

I'm a long time comp nerd, semi handy in photoshop, and i make mods for other games. This is the first time i've tried my hand at moding for the kotor series. These robes work as thier own seperate item, but i have zero knowledge on how to place them ingame =/ so cheating or kotor save game editor is the only way to get them at the moment. One protects from fire damage (the red one heh) and the other from cold damage (blue). I was kinda tired of the bad press that the master robe model (The bathrobe) was getting. Strictly speaking, Lucasarts and the companies it associates with to produce games have made FAR worse models in the past, and afterwards too. The first 2 were just ideas that poped into my head for images that might look good on a robe. The third was an idea thats been lying around inside my dusty old mind for a long time now. The name/cheat for these robes are-

giveitem spartacusrobe (ice), spartacusrobe2 (fire), and spartacusrobe3 (atris) (spartacus is the name I have used for all my comp characters, aside from my alter ego in jka - Duffman, and my imagination had worn out with all the random photoshoping i've done recently, so nahnahnah *sticks out tounge*)

here are the stats and images-

(the states, might be a bit high, but i use a hardcore/balancing mod anyway)

The name of the above image is just a joke between my sister and i. the first time she saw my character, she went 'omg, jesus with a lightsaber!'

<Fullname>'s Fire Robe-

Bonus Feat : Mobility

(you move faster, not a feat you can normaly obtain in the game ;) )

Charisma +3

Damage Resistance : (Cold or fire) 10/-

Force Resist : +10

Defence bonus : 5

Regeneration : 2

This robe belonges to <FullName>, Jedi Knight, who followed Revan to war against the wishes of the Jedi Council. After the wars' end, <FullName> attempted to return to the Jedi Order, but was exiled and wandered across the outer rim.

It was made to protect the wearer from the (cold or heat depending on which one) and allow for freedom of movement. Due to the nature of the person who wore it, it also tends to enhance the wearer's appeal to others. While it was worn in battle, it absorbed some of the wearer's natural resitance to force attacks.

Atris's Gift to <FullName>-

Stats-

Restricted to PC

Bonus feat : Mobility

Atribute Bonus : Wisdom - 4

Damage Resistance : Universal 5/-

Force Resistance : +10

Defence Bonus : 5

Skill Bonus : Awareness +4

This robe belonges to <FullName>, a Jedi Knight who followed Revan to war against the invading Mandalorians. This particular robe was made by the Jedi Knight Atris as a gift to her friend to try to make <FullName> see the wisdom of the council,

even if it was to late. Atris then went on to become a member of the Council, and because of her feelings for <FullName>, her reaction at the trial of that Jedi was more then she would have wished.

This robe was designed to protect the wearer and offer freedom of movement. It also enhances the wearer's wisdom and awareness, in the hopes that it would help lead the wearer back to the path that the creator thought was right.

Also included is a new, slightly changed skin for the handmaiden's default clothing.

See the image below-

much thanks to fred tetra for the great kotor tool, and the others that used it before me,

and to svosh for his improved robe models, which these images are based on. You will need to have at least the master model in your override folder along with this mod for it to be effective.

I do have one request however-

if someone that has more scripting experiance then I do (and i have none) and would be willing to help me (or do it for me ;) ) make them spawn in a container next to the kalto tank on the harbinger? i'd be all ears

I just downloaded it. Again, cool robe concept. As far as making them spawn on the Harbinger, talk to RedHawke. He helped me place my Spirit of the Force Robe, Spectre of the Force Robe, and Heart of the Force Sabers in Vogga's Treasure Room on Nar Shaddaa. Perhaps he will help you too. :)

There's a thread on Spawning placeable containers at:

http://lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=143536

The I think you want is by Darth333 and is...

How to spawn a container when I enter an area:

(you can always decompile the script and add the lines to spawn a container or you can use the easy following method which gives the same results at the end)

1. extract the On_enter script for the module. Check the .are file if you are unsure. Per example, when you enter the bar in NAr Shadaa, the script would be: a_306onenter.ncs

2. rename the script you just extracted to something else: exmaple old__a_306onenter.ncs

3. Create a new script:

void main()
{
object oEntering = GetEnteringObject();
object oPC=GetFirstPC();
if (GetIsPC(oEntering))
     {
     //check if the object is already there to avoid multiple objects
     if  (!GetIsObjectValid(GetObjectByTag("o")))
           {
     //replace the (0.00,0.00,0.00) by the xyz coordinates where you want to spawn the container.
     //for TSL, use the whereami armband http://www.starwarsknights.com to get the coordinates. For kotor use the whereami cheat
         oContainer= CreateObject(OBJECT_TYPE_PLACEABLE, "container_templateresref", Location(Vector(0.00,0.00,0.00), 0.0));
           }
    // Fire the old onenter script that we renamed at step 2:
    ExecuteScript("old_a_306onenter", OBJECT_SELF);
    }

}

4. Save your script as a_306onenter.nss (the original name of the On enter script we extracted) and compile.
I'm 90% positive that the module with the Medbay is 152Har if that helps. I think the script that is the on enter script is called k_152area_enter.ncs but I'm again, not entirely sure.

The rest should be more or less self explanatory.

However, if you wanted an example of how to do this by putting the items in an already existing container you could check...

[Plug] My mod out at http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=160049 [/Plug]

I spawn two new items in the Exile's room's locker and have the source code that I used with the Mod.

EDIT: Wow, I wrote out that big elaborate post and then realized how old this mod was by your post date and how much you probably don't care anymore. Oh well, I stand by my big elaborate post. :)
