Does anyone want to read my 7 cents? ;)

The "cents" here are pages. I'm trying to write a book, but it's

getting off to a slow start. Mainly because the first time I read

it to a bunch of people, they didn't show much reaction to it.

How can I help NOT to bore people to tears and still write the

book? I mean, 2 people were getting all nuzzly-wuzzly on the

couch near me while I was reading. Would anyone like to help?

I will then send you a copy of what I've written, and fo'sho',

the pictures will NOT be in the published version of this book

if I ever get it published. Also, does anyone want to illustrate

it for real if they like it?

I might be able to illustrate it, though I'm only a decent artist free-hand. If you give me something to at least copy from, I might be able to do it. However, you should probably ask someone else as well.

Make it an interesting book Or find an audience that it appeals to to read it to. Maybe the people who read it to just weren't interested in the topic.

It would help to know what kind of book you're trying to write. Give us a brief summary of what it is.

 

Maybe even post the whole thing.

Did you originally read it to someone who is interested in the subject matter?

Did you actually express anything other than a monotone business-like voice?

Did you write something that's even interesting?

Did you use proper grammar, structure, etc.?

 

Why can't you just post the beginning here?
