chaleur
I am always terrible at picking out what people are saying. When you are in the prison (riddle) box in KOTOR, there are voices whispering in the background. "That was one of the best ...s ever." "Nobody wants to talk about the sith because they could have..." "Did you hear about the..." "Do you want to see...." "Gather up all...." ".....it's not one of the...." "Everyone's talking about the...." Anyone with a saved game want to take a stab at it? Maybe the parts I'm missing are just jibberish. But maybe not?
Darth Covetous
"That was one of the best sandwiches ever." "Nobody wants to talk about the sith because they could have bugged the rooms" "Did you hear about the man with one leg?" "Do you want to see my private places?" "Gather up all the dung beetles." "Crap, it's not one of the original pieces." "Everyone's talking about the picnic tomorrow." I'm obviously not serious
The Doctor
I've never heard any voice, but then again I don't listen to hard in the box - plus I rarely activate it. I'll listen for it next time.
lukeiamyourdad
There are voices whispering in the background? Really? Hmmm, never noticed anything...
TheGreenGoblin
I always kind of wished I could have taken the box to the Rakata.
chaleur
I just noticed that they are the same voices whispering in the background in the Sith academy on Korriban. Taking the box to the Rakata would have been great. Did you ever try it? And Darth Covetous, I think you must be right. Especially about the picnic. lukeiamyourdad
I think the Box automatically dissapears when you bring it to the Unknown World.
YertyL
Is there any explanation (like with the gizkas and Sasha)? I'd love to hear that... the Gizka explanation was IMO already pretty funny
FiEND_138
There are voices whispering in the background? Really? Hmmm, never noticed anything... Same here. Neat, I'll have to give a real listen & if I can ever beat this Punisher addiction & reinstall Knights.
DarthVandar205
The voices on Koriban have nothing to do with the Rakata box, theyre supposed to be the dead sith lords whispering different things. Thats why you hear so many voices when you go there.
chaleur
^^They may have nothing to do with the voices in the Rekata box, but they reused the sound files. They are played in both places.
DarthVandar205
I never really heard or listened to them personally when I was on Koriban, I just read thats what they were supposed to be and just assumed that they were different than the voices in the box or at least had a different purpose. I think having those voices on Koriban makes the place a bit creepier.
Prodigy.NL
is there any use in this box? you go in, talk a bit and go out or am i missing something?
The_Maker
If by "use" you mean go and get objects, items, and xp then no, you don't "use" the box
The Doctor
You get xp by bringing the box to the Hutt on Tatooine. He pays you to do it, too.
Prodigy.NL
with 'use' i ment that maybe some extra persons to talk with, a small quest or something
The_Maker
Not really, just answer some riddles and if you get them correct you live, if you get one wrong...
StaffSaberist
What's this Box? I've never heard of it, at least not by that name... ???
Layjock
when you talk to Lurze Kesh near the Cantina in Dreshdae on Korriban, he asks you to get him some spice from the cargo hold in a secret compartment on the Ebon Hawk. Give it to him (you have no use for it anyway and you gain 1000+ credits) and he asks you to deliver a weird cubical/pyramidal box to Motta the Hutt on Tatooine in the Swoop Registration. Lurze warns you *not* to open the box but he dosen't tell you why. If you open the box, you mentally get sucked into an endless void where a lone Rakatan stands near a bed. The only way to get out of the box is to exchange riddles with the Rakatan until someone gets the other's wrong. If you lose, you don't necessarily die, you just become mentally trapped in the box and the Rakatan's mental self inhabits your body which, theorietically, is probably outside of the box. But there's no way to leave without getting the Rakatan to answer one of your riddles wrong. Sorry I just ruined the side-quest but I like to type long and unnecessarily complex posts. StaffSaberist
Whoa. Cool. I usually turn down the offer since I go to Korriban third, and Manann fourth. But that's just me. After reading a few spoilers for side-plots I never knew about, I may do Korriban first next time. If you get one of the riddles wrong, do you get a chance to redeem yourself? The Doctor
^ no, you don't. You die.
StaffSaberist
^Sounds like Gollum and Bilbo in The Hobbit... If Precious asks, and it doesn't answer, we eats it, my preciousss...
90SK
No, it just shows you character clutching his head in frustration, and then it says that your entire party has died. The end.
StaffSaberist
My above post was a j/k. I just saw the similarity. I mean, it's the same. In both cases: 1 - You swap riddles 2 - Winner gets what he wants 3 - Loser... doesn't.
