What parts do you think were unfinished in KotOR I?

Does anybody have a list of parts in their mind that were unfinished or seemed to be hinted at but never happened in KotOR I? I would like to know if there are any parts that people thought should be more finished, so if you have anything, please post here. The ones I think were unfinished, are:

Swoop Bike Upgrades: People talk about these, especially on Tattooine (some guy says a merchant might have some), and on Manaan (Queedle asks for money for upgrades), but you never see them.

Yavin IV: I though the station was unfinished as a whole, I mean you only see Suvam Tan, that guy must be a hermit or something. But as for the planet itself, Suvam talks about there being ruins on the surface when you tell him about what you are doing, but the conversation cuts off and doesn't go anywhere.

I can only think of those for right now, but I would like the Star Forge to be bigger, along with the Rakatan world, I thought that they kind of made those places a little bit too tiny.

Along with Dantooine too, the training was just a bunch of movies (I thought you should be able to do that yourself), and Dantooine was pretty small; Especially with the strange ruins, I mean they were practically right outside the enclave's door, and it was only until now that they sent Nemo and you in their. I thought that their should be more of a journey to the ruins.

Not a lot, compared to TSL. Nothing felt really incomplete. You mentioned the swoop upgrades -- sure. But the game wasn't lacking because of it. Yavin I thought was fine, though I'd love to see it return in KotOR 3. But stuff I'd sure love to have seen carried further:

  • The Elder's Eugenics Program: maybe I missed something, but I would have liked to have been able to put a stop to that without killing them all. It was kinda disturbing.
  • Connections: the connection between the Rekata and the Sand People legends were implied, but it'd have been nice if you could have had a more direct link. Maybe in the next game.
  • Griff's Fate: after you take him the ingredient, it'd be nice to know what he does...though I'm not sure really what they could have done more -- it was probably the most fitting way to leave things given his character. I'm just greedy.
  • Dak Vasser: it seemed to me like there was meant to be something more there, and it just never happened. Either he tries to kill you, or he runs off..and that's it, it seems.

Oh yeah, sorry Treex, now that you say that I remember that the council did say that, but I never remembered Suvam saying he was a hermit, and I usually don't skip conversations the first time. Still, it doesn't matter, there were other parts of the station, I don't think that Suvam was the only one there was he? Or was the station actually his home, and not a station with people on it.

And about Dantooine, still I would think some Padawan would have stumbled in there a long time ago and dissappeared, tipping the council off. And it is pretty much the only "burial mound" on Dantooine, it isn't "just another one" (although there probably was on Dantooine, I doubt the devs wanted to put a bunch on that planet).

I thought the game was pretty cool, but I thought the Bastila love quest was ended a little suddenly. I also would have liked more about Dak Vesser, and maybe with Bastila's Mother (ie she dies before Bastila can see her again, finishing the quest better and fueling Bastila's fall to the Dark Side). The rest of the game was very well done. It tied up the loose ends nicely.

There were also some indications that there was supposed to be a hutt on Dantooine but you never see him because they didnt add him to the game. That would have been really interesting if they did. They shouldnt add evidence of such things if theyre not going to go through with them and put them in the game.

A hutt? That is probably the most interesting part I have heard, where do you hear that? Oh, and wasn't there supposed to be different planets that they were thinking about having to find a Star Map from?

There is a murder investigation out in the plains on Dantooine where one of the suspects mentions a hutt on Dantooine. The hutt was one of the things cut from the game at the last minute.

There was also supposed to be a planet called Sleheyron in the game that was a hutt planet where I assume another star map was to be found but they cut this as well. This was cut early on though and I dont think any modules were made for it.

The Elder's Eugenics Program: maybe I missed something, but I would have liked to have been able to put a stop to that without killing them all. It was kinda disturbing.

If you side with the Elders you can talk with them about their eugenics program, just dont get the info from the temple computer and thus that will stop them from completeing their experiments because obviously they cant do it without that data.

You dont have to kill them.

Connections: the connection between the Rekata and the Sand People legends were implied, but it'd have been nice if you could have had a more direct link. Maybe in the next game.

I beleive the Rakata have something to do with Tatooine becoming a desert and part of the reason Sand Ppeople are the way they are currently and why they dislike outsiders. That story is kind of long and involved but thats basically how I see it.

Griff's Fate: after you take him the ingredient, it'd be nice to know what he does...though I'm not sure really what they could have done more -- it was probably the most fitting way to leave things given his character. I'm just greedy.

He botches up the experiment with the tach gland so he cant make any Tarisian ale and so he leaves on a shuttle to escape the Exchange contact he was supposed to meet and he probably went somewhere distant to hide from him.

Dak Vasser: it seemed to me like there was meant to be something more there, and it just never happened. Either he tries to kill you, or he runs off..and that's it, it seems.

He was supposed to wait in the cantina after you talk to him in the valley where he waits for a ship to take him off planet.

Yeah, Sleheyron, if I remember right it is a twi-lek planet. I almost thought they were thinking about a Hoth planet too, I can't remember, one of the modders were talking about making a custom planet or something; They were talking about the galaxy map, and showed two screenshots of a Hoth and Sleheyron planet.

And yeah, the Rakata were invovled with the sand people. Somehow the sand people got the Rakata angry and the Rakata turned Tatooine into a desert. Before, the sand people were different and it wasn't a desert planet.

There isn't much, I bet if I started another thread about K2 it would be a Long list.

Yeah...but....your choices are (1) don't give them the data and let them continue their "experiments" on the other Rekata, or (2) give them the data and let them continue their "experiments" on the other Rekata. Not happy with either.

True. You can certainly put together the pieces, as Venom750 does so well. I wanted some more consideration of this. Like maybe some snide comments from HK-47, or something like that. I dunno. SOMETHING.
...he probably went somewhere distant to hide from him.
Which kinda left me hanging. Then again, maybe he'll show up in KotOR3. That'd be kinda cool, actually.
He was supposed to wait in the cantina after you talk to him in the valley where he waits for a ship to take him off planet.
Which he happily does. But why? A named character for three lines of dialog in LS, and a pathetic fight in DS? I think maybe there was supposed to be something more there.

I wished that you could have gone to Dantooine after it had been bombed, it would just be a pile of debris and there would be dead people everywhere. You could go and see the dead Jedi, and maybe find the store of Adum Larp and get his items. There wouldn't really be anything to do there, but it would be nice to see it after it is destroyed

I would have rather seen some of those parts of Dantooine in K2 before they got blown up in K1, like the jedi archives/sublevel and the inside of the Matale Estate before it became Khoonda. Id also like to know where those extra doors in the hangar in Dantooine at the Jedi Enclave were supposed to go and also the doors in the hallway where you go see whoever is staying at the enclave currently too.

Yeah, that would have been nice, but they only had so much time, and I think they did a freaking awesome job with it for KotOR I, so I totally forgive them. I'm not sure it would have added much to the story anyway.

But it would have messed the whole Malak fight, and would have taken out of the moment when you learn that Dantooine has been bombed. I just think it would have taken out of the story if it wasn't destroyed and you could just contact all the Jedi have hundreds of them attack the Star Forge. I just like that the way it is, I think it is such a big part it wouldn't be good to change it.
