I'll add to the kudos here from a great job. Always nice to see something like this when I come skulking back here.

 

I can actually envision a day of having a female character doing a dance in game that doesn't look like a trucker honking his airhorn.

It will be ready when it is ready, not before, not after. Have patience, its not just a small "oh I just have to change this to a 5" type thing to add to mdlops. Chuck has a real life ouside of making mdlops and even though he works hard on it its more then likely not his number one priority in life. So just sit back, let him work and eventually he will release it when he is finished, satisfied it works right and hasnt got any weird bugs.

This post by Jackel made me notice something here at the forum. Am I the only person here that everyone is on a first name basis with? I mean, everyone uses my first name when they post or send me a PM/E-mail. IIRC, I always use someones handle when I post, etc...

 

Hey, it's cool with me. I just thought it was interesting.

 

Yeah, I know that my handle IS pretty much my name. It may be boring, but it is always available whenever I sign up for something! :)

 

Oh and in reply to Jackels quote above:

I will get a real life when someone proves to me it is better than what I have now! ;)

 

Now, back to coding I go... <-- The only part of this post that is on topic?

Porting game content directly from one game in the series to the other is illegal, so no on the Exile handling his battles with Malak's moves via a port.

Creating a stance from scratch is not illegal, so if you really want Malak's stance in TSL, make one like it and implement it. Bit of work, but no Cease and Desist letter from the developers.

 

EDIT: and I apologize if it's not my place to say the 'this is illegal' stuff, since we aren't to talk about illegal stuff. *curls up and hopes the moderators won't get mad*

 

and I hope I'm not too late to thank cchargin and Fred Tetra for both their new and their well-known contributions. the utilities were already awesome, but custom animations and lighting effects blow my feeble, inexperienced modder's mind.

Nope, they're not. Nihilus is built on Malak's skeleton, so he has the same animations. He just has a cape too, and a different standing anim.

 

Anyway, yeah, Chuck, you're just about the only one who goes by his first name, except maybe Fred. ;)

 

We should try and stay on topic guys.

Nihilus uses Malak's Combat Animations?

Then why does he look so different? (Mind you, haven't fought Nihilus in a LONG time.) It seems to me Nihilus uses default combat animation (Like Revan or Exile).

Also, if you tell me to check such and such files, heh...no...<<" I'm not a modder and never plan to be.
