I got lots of presents, but the best part was that my dad came over and had supper here tonight and we all spent some time together. It was great, almost like old times.

It was nice and sunny here today

(as usual) but suprisingly wasn't hot at all! I couldn't play with any of my presents so I spent the day reading Red Storm Rising and playing Risk with Ma and Grandad.

 

I FINALLY saved up enough cash to buy a new computer and will do so Wednesday so I have some Computer N00bie questions:

Can I simply "transplant" my current HD and RAM to my new one(Don't worry, I'll have someone much smarter than I handling this) so I don't have to copy each induvudual thing from one to the other via 3x3.5 inch disk?

 

It's an Intel Celeron 600mhz with 10 gigs and 32mb RAM(I have 64mb on my old one so hopefully I can transplant) for about $400. Quite a step above my current P166 with a 3 gig HD. I'm sooooo happy

 

I like this thread. It's very happy.

I finally got a chair. I had a computer, a desk, but no chair that was specifically allocated to the computer desk. It was the happiest day in my life, with numerous exceptions. I also received other crap, but that's another story.

I came out pretty well this year. I got some programs for my websites, and other computer stuff. Got gift cards to Blockbuster, Best Buy, and Borders too.

Not to mention some SW Legos and a lot of good Peanuts merchandise.

Happy Boxing Day everybody! Just finished my turkey.

I received no gifts at all (we exchange gifts with Sinterklaas) but still I'm having a great X-mas. Incredible huh?

We had a great Christmas. The kids got a ton of stuff. Personally, I got 4 computer games, 2 Movies, a set of wrenches, a new karate uniform, a couple of books, and a bunch of chocolates!
