ok i was wondering since i have seen pics of xwings on the planets and also y wings what if your space fleet is destroyed can u build up a sizable airforce to go from ground to space combat and attack enemy ships in orbit before they can land on the planet to attack your ever growing forces.

if your y-wings are destroyed in space. they cant be used in ground combat. dont know how x-wings fit in.

 

then you say, "if i build more, can i send them into space as reenforcement?"

then i say, "you dont build them on the ground, you buy thm on the galactic map. so to answer your question, no"

Whats about keeping the airforce on the ground before it comes, so they might defeat your fleet then be totally suprised when several wings of fighters and bombers lift from the ground and obliterate them

yet your squadrons might be totally obliterated by the attacking forces fighters and bombers coming in to.

I don't know how the dynamic works out, but I suspect the role of the air force may end up being a little downplayed on the ground side, but I don't know.
