When i last re-read some threads, i saw some of the people here play magic The Gathering.

I do too, and i'm very interested what you have to say about the new series (Ravinga), Ravinnity, and so on!

 

I'll start by posting my own deck here: (it's Quik Affinity)

The point of my deck is: Play creatures. Quik. With Affinity, every artifact i play get's cheaper for every other artifact i control. This power can be used to rush early on, or focus it using a Broodstar.

 

You can look at all the cards by copying their name from above list into the 'Go' bar. Don't mind the language..it's Dutch, but the cards are English

'Winkel' will show the card they are selling, if people want to see card from older series.

I play Slivers, though I don't know the exact contents of my deck, as I haven't played in a while.

I also have an Illusion deck. It's fun if you use Endemic Plague (sac. a creature and destroy all creatures who share it's type, they can't be regenerated) and Peer Pressure (choose a creature type, if you control more of that creature type than any other player, take permanent control of all creatures of the chosen type).

Mate of my almost went to the Dutch Championships, and he played Sliver for a while too. He says Slivers are a great collective, but are weak against artifact. Remember, artifact dmg can't be prevented by a Wars Sliver alike.

It's not that complicated once you gewt the hang of it. Some of the rules can be a little confusing (like resolving the stack), but their not that bad.

yeah, guy at school learned it in 30 minutes, i;m not kidding.

Also, you can make it as complicated as you want. The cards Doctor and i were talking about are...'well-known' but i would be surpirsed if anyone of you guys could guess the value of a Black Lotus

Or Goblin Grenade. It's valued at over $150 US, I believe. Amazing card, too.

Black Lotus is banned, is it not? It's at least restricted, I know that. At least it is over here in North America.

I have to admit, i love the artwork in MTG tho.. My fave card/character that ive come across is the legendary creature "Eight and a half Tails/Fox Cleric" I understand there are figurines of this and other characters now....must track one down one day

Yes, the art is good, for the most part. There are some really good cards out there that have crappy art (ie Dark Ritual).

Indeed, the Lotus is restricted.

 

Eight and a half-tails if from the Japanese-inspired Kamigawa series. I have the Bushido (Way Of The Warrior) deck. It features some interesting artwork, indeed.

 

My favourite card is 'Flamebreake' because it's suberb in blowing up Slivers.

One time, the mate above uses the Sliver that provides Slvier tokens. He had an A-social amount of 300+ Slivers, but he thought he should let me live for a while. Stupid mistake Using Aether Spellbomb i putted his Ward Sliver, that gave him Protection from Red, back in his hand, and then played Flamebreak.

Believe me, he was pisses

^If he was playing a good sliver deck, then that should have been nothing more than a pin-prick to him. My Plated Slivers (usually 1/1) are regularly 7/7 creatures with flying, haste, life drain, and numerous other abilities. 3 damage is nothing.

he didn't have a good deck, no

 

he didn't even use Sliver Queen of Sliver Overlord..

His tokens never rose above the 3 defense..

 

he stopped playing met sliver, and now uses an Mirrodin-Leonin deck. You know, with the Loxodon Warhammers.

I never use the Queen or Overlord either - I don't have the Queen (it never interested me that much), and the Overlord becomes useless once you play even a single Ward Sliver.

 

And yes, my slivers PWN!!! I've only lost once with that deck, and that was due to a stupid mistake on my part - I accidentally had both my Ward Slivers in play protecting me from blue against a blue/red deck. My opponent destroyed one of my key creatures (I forget exactly which one it was), and the rest of them followed due to the gap in my defense. It's never happened since. The most damage I've ever done with my Slivers was against a life gain deck. She was at almost 300 life, and I killed her one shot - 1200 damage. She cried.

 

I hate Leonin. They're to small for my taste. Too bad Krosan Cloudscraper sucks balls, or I would love that card. It's a 13/13. One of the biggest creatures on the game (next to B.F.M/, but unglued cards don't really count).

Have you tried looking at Broodstar?

Mine was 60-30 ^^

I also used Cranial plating, to double it's attack...

 

But my deck is to 'random'. It all depends on wich cards i draw, while SLivers will support eachother, i need to draw exactly the right cards to make stand.

Brrodsatr is good. I used to play affinity, but I got bored with it. I switched to Illusions, but they were to dependent on the Plague and Pressure cards - they had almost no attack. Then I switched over to Slivers and haven't looked back.

Nims aren't that great - I've tried them. They're fun to start, but they get boring fast.

I've been playing with my bro in MI, heavy type 1 here, I got GWS Oath decked up, my brother has a set of power I just have 1 Mana Drain and all the Blue duals.... I went to 04 nats for JSS and didn't do too well in the t2.(Elf and Nail was a bad choice), Im also looking to sell out so if anyone wants something hit me up I'll have it

 

 

Black Lotus is allowed as a one of in type 1. Goblin Grenade is decent, its a dollar card at most

But you're right, Tooth and Nail is..... not so good......

At most Goblin Grenade is a dollar card, It isnt really played in much other then Goblin Sligh in Type 1.5 but its dead in that format nearly. One downfall is that it goes against card advantage and you trade a threat for 5 damage. Also no I speak two other languages, and I'll tone down on the magic stuff I was refering to in that post.
