Guest DarthMaulUK
Our spies have intercepted a secret transmission about the release date for Star Wars:Empire At War. Earlier this week, it looked like the game was being pushed back to the end of February. Well, we have official news that the game will be released on 16th February 2006 with Europe getting release around the 20th Feb 2006. Many Bothans died to bring us this information DMUK

xhh2a
eh, who cares about the bothans? they're expendable. Hey, bothans are not expendable. If everybody in the rebellion was, they would've lost. thats why the rebellion had shields and such. (which is why the empire didn't care about them) Great news. (Hope it wasn't because of people arguing it would be released too late, or else we would get another bugged game like swbf2)
xSiri_Tachix
I say do whatever it takes to get the game out the door as bug free as possible. They might consider doing a community alpha test to weed out the bugs before the official release. I don’t know, but maybe they have already decided to do so? Givike
You know, there are things called patches.
FleetAdmiral AK
yes but patches are made because games are faulty because they were rushed and we want a game with no bugs
aggie_john
thats not true I have seen games take forever to be released and still need patches. Bugs are a tiny error somewhere in millions of lines of code. Only extensive game play can find them. Not to mention balance issues are addressed in patches as well. BattleDamage
mmmm extensive gameplay......... delay is sometimes the best way to fix up a game, even if it can be fixed with a patch l8r on, the point is 2 release game that wont need a patch in the first place so EXTREMELY casual gamers who r like ,"Download? whats a download?" will be attracted 2 it. Its all about the cha-ching.
