SS is an endless source of both amusement and disgust. Back before Episode I came out, speculation on the internet was rampant and his site blended well with many other "spoiler" and "speculation" Star Wars fan sites. But he claimed to have official inside info, beyond anyone else's wildest dreams. It turns out he was lying or misinformed about most of it. On the seemier side it seems he was just copying and pasting "legit" spoilers from other sites, and claiming that they were a result of his own discoveries or inside sources (taking credit for the work of others). Also apparently he once charged for "premium content" on his site, which allegedly was simply material that could be found on Hyperspace.

With the prequels finally over with, it's amazing that he apparently still has followers who really do think he's personal friends with George Lucas, and responsible for making important decisions at the Ranch, including scouting out talent for the "sequel trilogy" (movies which Lucas has said time and again will never ever be made, period). The guy's a fake, a fraud, a hoax, and still every so often you'll get a snippet or a question that shows his misinformation is still alive and well, duping gullible Star Wars fans every so often.

I'm forced to assume the guy just craves the attention and has delusions of grandeur that he's kept up the farce for going on 8 years now... but anyone who still has doubts can see his frequent contradictions (check google cache and webarchive if you don't believe me, plus numerous sites debunk his) and realize that it's not legit. StarWars.com and TheForce.net actually have rules against talking about him as a result of the flame wars and crap that results when he shows up, in fact!

I think I first encountered SS's site back after I saw Episode I. Unlike many hundreds or thousands of fans, I desperately tried to avoid spoilers, in the heavy media-saturated spoiler atmosphere that was out there. As a result I didn't see his site until after the movie was over. I saw some correct information, some speculation and some incorrect stuff. I figured he was like many other spoiler sites in this regard and was amused to read his guesswork. Little did I realize the darker side of it all. Since his site was a "spoiler" site, I avoided it during Episode II. After Episode II came out I did the same thing with his site as I had done before with Episode I. But then I began to dig deeper. I read his alleged "Episode 7,8,9" scripts and some of his comments and lists. It all seemed sort of crappy and far fetched. Things didn't seem to add up. Later I would read about his shenanigans and the many pissed off former fans of his. I read his outlandish claims which seemed to grow and grow from the time of Episode II to III. He's got a supermodel girlfriend and spends countless hours at the Ranch enjoying the high life and creature comforts without ever taking an ounce of credit anywhere and is never acknowledged by his supposed friend Mr. Lucas? From his pretended cameos in the movies, his goofy new ideas that don't appear anywhere in the EU or the films (like Palpatine having the Kyber Crystal, the Penarii lightsaber, black lightsaber blades, numerous made-up Jedi and Sith, etc), and his putting words into Lucas's mouth (to make him into an immature jerk, and far more condescending and annoying than even his worst critics paint him as), everything lead me to think this guy was just pathetic.

And the rest is history... I guess I am attracted to his site just because it's fascinating to see what crazy thing he'll dream up or say next.
