Nute Gunray
Today I found out that for two months...I've been wasting time. It turns out the girl I like didn't have a boyfriend, despite her practically saying she did. Now that I know she's been single most of the time I've liked her, she also tells me she just started seeing someone. Someone I know at that. Sucks. But it wouldn't have worked out anyhow. Keyan Farlander
One day the planets will align and Nute will just go up to whatever girl he likes at the time and say, "Excuse me, would you like to have dinner on Friday?"
Ray Jones
But he will just receive a look like "WTF is wrong with you?", because by then the common week will be like Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday?

Nute Gunray
One day the planets will align and Nute will just go up to whatever girl he likes at the time and say, "Excuse me, would you like to have dinner on Friday?" What sort of time window are we looking at after I discover her? Also, is there any sort of provision for her asking me? Because this one did, back in March. See, we'd originally met in September in a class we'd had together then. I thought about asking her out, but at the time I was on a strict "no military girls" policy because of the lesbian air force reservist from a month before. And this one was Navy. Then we wound up in the same group for a presentation/debate and I decided I'd rather get a good grade than explode into drama. Then comes January and I noticed she was in another class with me (which would later turn out to be the third class we've ever had together, an enormous feat of chance at a big school). So I went and talked to her every day (when I went to class, which was infrequent for a variety of reasons). One of my friends kept telling me to ask her out, but i was like "I don't like her that way!" Which was true. But eventually she grew on me. By the beginning of March, I'd figured that, yeah, I probably should ask her out. Since I didn't have her phone number (yet), "early march" meant I only saw her twice, so not asking her twice wasn't so bad. Then the second week of March, I was going to do it, but the third week was Spring Break and I was going to be out of town for most of that. So its thursday before spring break and she's dropping me off at my apartment and we were talking. There was a pause in the conversation and the next sentence out of my mouth was going to be something like "want to get a drink some time?" I never got to say it. She said it. edlib
Spent most of the day cleaning out the cellar. Took all the rugs that were down there outside to be thrown away Monday morning. It was still wet underneath them. Had to throw away one little bookshelf which had gotten really nasty and moldy at the bottom (fortunately there were no books on the bottom shelves) and another bookshelf needed repairs. Moved a lot of stuff around. Now I'm tired and achy... but it's good to have that space back, and it's about 20 degrees cooler down there than anywhere else in the house on hot days like this. Nute Gunray
Yesterday, I spent the day with the girl and some of her friends. It was ok, barbequing and what not, but it sucked her and that guy be all...friendly. Then we went out drinking all night. And that sucked, because she wanted to dance, so she picked one of the guys were with and proceeded to grind with him for like an hour. Why couldn't she pick me Anyhow, I ****ing give up. I really want to be her friend, because we got along that way for months. But its really hard right now. And that sucks because I have exactly one friend in town right now and its her. Rogue15
that sucks. I've been using my old billy blanks tae bo advanced one hour workout vhs tape and it's getting old (must've did the workout almost 50 times so far, starting to get sick of the same moves) and when i finished, i turned on the tv and saw the billy blanks elite boot camp dvds, so i picked up the phone and ordered it. A few days ago I found Soul Calibur II on amazon for like $5, so hopefully i don't have to wait too long for the person to send it. ordered that thursday evening. My sister and I got our dad the season one of 24 for Father's Day, gonna bring that over to him in a bit, then I have to work 1pm-10pm tonight, and i get monday off..then i work tuesday 1-10, and start going in later after that, so 5-9 on wednesday, and 4-9 on thursday then i have friday off. I am so glad that i am able to get sun this summer!! My cousin got kicked out of the army...here i was thinking she was in iraq, but she's been out for a few months i guess. don't know if it was honorable or dishonorable or general discharge though, and don't know why either. well, Happy Father's day to all the dads out there! edlib
Just put in all the air conditioners in the windows, and am basking in the icy cold breeze... but MAN! is that a job that sucks or what?!?? Gotta get central air one of these days... It was a must to have today, though: mid to high 90's, w/ plenty o' humidity. Woke up sweating. That's always pleasant. Rogue15
closing was interesting last night.....the campers and people that come from countries over in europe arrived for the summer...this week is gonna be fun. I do have today off, so i'm gonna just chill and wait out the storm. I might go for a drive and take some pictures with my digital camera. oh by the way, i did get that car last saturday. it's a plymoth acclaim, with like 209,000 miles on it, it just needs a new muffler, there isn't any rust on it cept for a small bit on the rear passenger by the trunk. it drives NICE, and i'm gonna try to make it last a while...by not driving over 50mph, and by keeping the rpm meter under 3,000. It should last long enough for me to save up for a jeep.
Rogue15
everyone on vacation? I finished watching the first season of 24. that season finale was goooood. can't wait to get the second season now. Work is getting boring, last night I about finished all but 1 thing on my weekly maintenance...and all but 1 thing on the monthly maintenance. too bad the month is almost over, means i'll have to go to work on another machine next month...at least that one is easier. Last week we had to put our oldest cat down. She was 10 years old. we had to put her down cause first her ears were bothering her for like 2 years (she'd dig them open, we took her to vet they kept experimenting so **** that we didnt take her back to the vet after their 3rd attempt failed) anyways what happened was got a growth on her cheek and 2 weeks ago she stopped accepting food, and would spit out anything we'd force-feed, so after a week she was nothing but a skeleton with fur on it. so my dad put her down w/a .22 in the woods, i guess it was better for her than going to the vet and getting a needle, as the last thing she saw was the woods instead of an unknown room with strangers. i'm still sad that she had to die, and it makes me think of how fragile life is. edlib
Ugh... Spent the last couple of days doing a much-needed 'spring cleaning.' (However, it seems that the spring in question was probably 2002... ) Rooting around in the cellar, attic, inside all the assorted 'junk-drawers', and the backs of all the closets trying to seek out the creeping clutter that tends to make this place seem even smaller than it really is. I've been trying to be totally merciless with myself about getting rid of stuff that I never use. As it stands I have about 10 bags of trash, 3 boxes of stuff for recycle, and 2 or 3 BIG boxes worth of stuff for donation to Goodwill. Yikes! Where the hell does all this stuff come from? And why do I keep buying more? A lot of it is stuff that people have given me over the years. My mom is constantly buying clothes for me that I almost never wear. All that stuff is going to Goodwill. I kinda feel guilty about it, but I really need the room back. Factor in the fact that I can't seem to EVER throw anything away if I feel it might have some use left in it... or sometimes even if it doesn't. (I found the boxes to a bunch of PC games that I bought like 2 or 3 years ago in one pile... geez! What the **** is wrong with me?) It seems like I've barely made any kind of significant dent, but at least some of the clutter has been reduced to the point I can really do some cleaning up again. I can move around in my bedroom without knocking piles of stuff over, anyway. Still have a lot more to do. I'm kinda glad it's not a super busy week at work once we go back. It will give me some time at night after work to continue attacking it. It's kind of a crappy way to spend a long holiday weekend... but I wasn't sure when I might get 5 days off in a row like this again, and it was getting a bit oppressive. Plus, tearing apart the cellar over the last few weeks really inspired me to try to take back control over the entropy again.
Rogue15
wow...i still have almost all of my computer game boxes (including the box to the original Descent!).. my sister is painting the hallway and my parents are helping out....we got a new air conditioner and that isn't helping much, it's still nice and humid in here....not worth dragging all 100 pounds of it up 18 stairs, imo. watched munich last night. good movie didnt care for the stupid sex scene at the end though...looked more like a porno...meh
edlib
Yeeesh! Having a bad morning so far... gotta get out early today for a morning meeting (even though I have to work late tonight ) and my glasses choose this morning to fall apart. I have a little glasses repair kit... but I really don't have time to really try to fool around with it (and yet, somehow I have time to post here. Hmmm....) Plus, it's nearly impossible to work on my glasses WITHOUT having my glasses on! I also haven't had all of my caffeine yet, so my hand/ eye co-ordination is still way off. So now I have to get out even earlier to try to stop at Pearle or someplace on my way to work... Gut feeling is it's really going to be one of those days. Ray Jones
Oh, errm. Don't worry. *I* am pretty sure, I nearly "used" them *all*, including those future ones until 2281, recently. Teh world is *save*, trust me on this. ;~~~
Keyan Farlander
I'm still kickin', but nothing new to report, as nothing new ever really happens. The fact that life is this boring when I am 25 makes me dread the rest of my life.
Rogue15
accidentally overdrew from my account, had to get some of that waivered today.....but at least i got paid (or is it payed?) today. I put some gasoline in my car, and now i can maybe go target practice at the range tomorrow. I also wanna put a mountain bike on layaway so i can pick that up when i get back from vacation. i requested the 22-23rd off of work, and my manager approved it and gave me the 21st and 24th off as well, so that's really cool. going to a thing up at pinecrest bible training center cause my friend is supposed to be there, and i haven't been there for about 6-7 years. my parents went there for a few years it's like a bible college, and i was there from 2nd grade til 6th grade, so alot of memories there. I can't wait to see the place. I resubscribed to galaxies since my checking account is fixed now, so i'll be on that tonight and some of tomorrow. Nitro
Remind me never to go to a music store with my credit card on me... I walked over to the music store that's just down the street from me to pick up new strings for my acoustic. I came home with a slightly used Mexican Stratocaster. And to top it all off, it wasn't even an hour before I started imagining what it would sound like with various pickup combinations... It's an SSH pup setup, but I'm thinking an SDBR-1 duckbucker in the either the neck, middle, or both, and an SH-55 in the bridge. Nice and bright, even under a bit of creamy fuzz... This thing's pretty much gonna be the opposite end of the spectrum from my LP. I'm also thinking about trading my Twin-Reverb for some kind of Marshall half-stack. I love that Fender, and if I wasn't going back to school I'd keep it and just buy the Marshall... But it's just too clean for the stuff I usually play, and what's the point of playing rock & roll through a tube amp if you have to use a stompbox to get it to sound overdriven? Even after replacing the tubes with a set that starts to break up earlier, I still had to get it up around 8-9 before it even hinted at overdrive. edlib
I went out shopping today, but had to cut it short due to a wave of nausea that hit me right in the middle of the store. Fortunately, I had almost everything on my list at that point, I didn't hurl, and I somehow managed to get back home in one piece (it's kinda tough driving when your head is spinning...) Got home and laid down. Didn't wake back up until about 8:30 (missed the Simpsons... damn.) Still feel a little woozy... but not nearly as bad as earlier. Oh, and I can't find my work keys. I hope I left them there after work last night, cause losing them would be... bad.
Rogue15
went to the place where i lived for 5 years, up in ny...this 'weekend' met w/my best friend, who is now in the air force, and saw 2 of the girls i went to school with, but only for a brief moment, as i was w/my parents at a meeting, where we got a phone call that my sister was in a serious car accident. she made it out alive with a few bruises and almost broken nose, thank God. She was driving from our apt to our parents' to go take care of the dog and cats over there, saw what she thought was a car in the distance, and went to take her turn to get onto a road leading to the house, and she said she looked up and there was what she thought was an SUV( she found out at the hospital that it was a truck) implanted in the side of the car. totalled both the car and the truck. thankfully nobody was killed. so my vacation was kinda over after that news, my sis stayed w/my landlords (they've become really close friends since we moved in) and this morning we headed back home. the cop said it was her fault, but today her my dad and i went to the location of the accident, there were ZERO brake marks from the truck, and i stop watched a couple cars from where my sister said she saw the 'car' the guy had between 4 and 6 seconds (6 seconds if he was going speed limit) to either swerve or brake, and nobody was behind my sister, so the guy prolly wasn't paying attention to the road. my dad was in nearly the same situation before down in lancaster, he was on the way home from work in his ford f150, and someone with a van full of 7 kids pulled across 4 lanes of traffic, rushing to get to wendy's, he was only doing 35mph, and braked enough, but hit the car, nobody got killed at least, and i remember when we went back to the scene and measured/timed how much time to react, and he had less time, and there was a big brake mark on the road. anyway, she's gonna contest the police report. we went to go look at the car and it about put her in another shocked state, both the doors were caved in pretty good, if i would've been in the passenger seat, i wouldn't be here to post this. I'll have to post a pic of the car's passenger side later. i'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad i still have a sister. she's still in a little shock, and keeps replaying the scene in her mind... i guess SOME good came will out of it though, 1-her insurance should/BETTER cover everything, 2-she won't have that car payment every month, and 3-she won't have to work as hard (she was working like 70 hours a week to pay all her expenses-mostly vehicle related) so if she gets a decent used car she shouldn't have as much car insurance to pay, plus she won't have a car payment. but then again, we still have to get the police report and then see if she will have to contest it. eh....long weekend! i'm off to bed, 1 more day off until i have to work. ugh. Rogue15
w007! getting my broadband connection set up on tuesday!!!! I decided to go with the G10 (10 megabytes per second download) speed, which is the fastest one they had, and i'm gonna sign a 1 year contract on it so it'll be $44 a month and they'll give me a free modem. Woke up this morning and got my paycheck, deposited some of it, kept the rest out for rent and other things....after i deposited some of my money, i went to dunkin donuts and got some coffee and donuts, picked up the mail, then got to my apartment. my car needs a new muffler on it, so that is scheduled to be installed monday morning, along with some new struts. hopefully it'll last me a while and one part being fixed won't cause other parts to need fixing. I almost thought I was gonna be stranded on tuesday because I went out to the rifle range, and found it was closed down due to the stupid bridge being unrepairable or some other bull****. that pissed me off i need alot of practice shooting my .270's before i go for deer this winter. also need a new hunting license so i can get a doe tag. work is going alright...this summer isn't as busy as last summer, which is kinda cool. cept our department is barely making it or so it seems. my next day off work is on monday. seems like a long ways off. it's rare that i work more than 3 days in a row, guess it'll seem nice to get monday and tuesday off. How has everyone's summer gone so far?
