The Seeker
Looks like they're bringing out Lego Star Wars 2: Return of the Original Trilogy Not that I'm overjoyed about another Lego SW game (though the first was pretty decent) but hopefully this along with empire at war will spell a return to OT based games. please oh please lets have a new flight sim ala Aliance either way, it's good news
TiE23
Eh, it's still pretty bitching. But I don't see how Half-Life 2 and Lego Star Wars could sell for $50... I don't see the logic.

LightNinja
actually i think Lego SW should be about 30€/$ because is a game that you can finish in a week and once you've finished it you are done with the game, but HalfLife 2 (will)have mods and has online multiplayer option, which makes the game life longer than LSW

Not to mention the compelling gameplay that begs at least one if not more replay. It's the only game since Jedi Knight that I have played through four times. It's just that good. Where as LSW, well, good kids game, and has it's moments. Good for one go around.
toms
I always thought the other one did all 6 films.. not sure why. Really must get around to trying it. The game is set in the world of the Original Trilogy (Episodes IV-VI). For those of you who don't know about the first 3 Star Wars films, shame on you. Now i feel old. I think that if i keep hearing references to people not knowing about the originals i might just book myself into a retirement home now.. it keeps making me feel ancient. Space games just haven't been selling well for years.. so i don't know if they will make a new one. I think its because PC gaming has declined.. and because they need extra kit like joysticks that very few people have these days. Which is odd because USB makes analogue sticks a lot less hassle than they once were. Maybe the only advantage Vista *spits* might have is that it might standardise the controlers a bit if everyone has 360 pads. I reckon that with the stagnation of the RTS and FPS genres recently the public might be ripe for a rejuvenation of the space genre. For one thing it could work on consoles now (with simplified controls) due to analogue sticks. For another you could have far more ships, realistic physics, high dynamic range lighting etc.. What they really need to do is one with all the coolness of TieFighter, but with dynamic branching missions.. so they don't all play out the same. Broadband would mean online multiplayer would finally be an option too. unfortunately LA is no longer a company that leads and takes risks.. merely a company that jumps on bandwagons. So unless another company gets a big hit they are unlikely to even try.

Det. Bart Lasiter
@TiE²³- The Half-Life 2 'Game of the Year' edition is like $30 or $40 and it comes with CS, HL1 Source, Deathmatch, and Lost Coast and the SDK.

Sabretooth
Right. They prefer making a sequel to that game while all us RC players are dying for a sequel to RC... *sigh*
Samuel Dravis
Right. They prefer making a sequel to that game while all us RC players are dying for a sequel to RC... *sigh* Wanna bet it's a lot easier and cheaper to just make new skins for blocks than it is to make new assets for RC2? LEC likes money too, you know.
Sabretooth
... blah blah blah ... LEC likes only money too, you know. Fixed.
