The Seeker
The newest Splinter cell game "Double Agent" has officially been pushed back to september of this year from the previous slated spring. Sam Fisher aborts spring mission Splinter Cell Double Agent locked up until September 2006 "to deliver the highest quality gaming experience." When the next installment of Ubisoft's Splinter Cell series was announced in December, its projected spring 2006 release date may have left many fans thinking, "Gee, that was fast!" Reality reared its ugly head today, as the publisher has announced that Splinter Cell Double Agent won't make its springtime romp, opting instead for a stealthy September release. SC: Double Agent "Ubisoft is extending the launch of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent in order to deliver the highest quality gaming experience," a company representative said in a statement. "The additional development time will allow for a simultaneous worldwide launch on all platforms and will allow Ubisoft's development teams to push the technical boundaries on each platform." source Yeah, I'm glad that they're gonna polish it as much as possible, but still kind of bummed that my plans for grabbing it this april have been dashed. Oh well, back to Half-Life 2 again.
TiE23
I don't care, they haven't messed it up yet and it's been just getting better and better. As long as they don't make this seem like 007 in story line I will be happy.
narfblat
Are there any good games that don't get delayed? I think we should expect it by now. Speaking of delayed games, they will soon tell us the actual release date for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. If you like massive single-player RPG's, this game will make the wait for Double Agent easier.
CapNColostomy
I don't care, they haven't messed it up yet and it's been just getting better and better. As long as they don't make this seem like 007 in story line I will be happy. No chance of 007 stuff happening. From what I've read, alot of this one takes place in a prison, and even when you're not in prison, you're undercover. So the gadgets we're already accustomed to are most likely gone. In fact, if what I've read is true, he's not even a Splinter Cell in this one. I'm looking forward to it.
Sabretooth
Well I don't play the SC series, but it's a good thing devs want to finish their games before shipping them *looks menacingly at Obsidian*
The Seeker
Yeah, I'd much rather see a polished, finished, ready to play game as opposed to another KotOR 2 type debacle. Remember that? Where they didn't even finish the ending.
BongoBob
If they **** up KotOR III I will get stabbity with some jaws. I'm glad Double Agent is getting pushed back, it'll release at about the same time I'll get a

Sounds to me like they are making it into Chronicles of Riddick, not 007... ..not that that is a bad thing...
Joe©
*Happy Dance* We was thinking... How does one play Splinter Cell, Elder scrolls IV, and Guild Wars Factions all at the same time... I was not looking forward to it. :
Hallucination
I think this is great news. Mainly because it'll give the devs more time and I got Chaos Theory awhile ago and haven't beaten it yet.
