Jeff Posted April 4, 2006 Author Posted April 4, 2006 Yeah, this wasn't a very good tournament overall I don't think. Bad final four, and I don't think that Florida is the best team, but they won it all. And I don't like Florida, so that didn't help

Cygnus Q'ol Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Florida may not have been the best team on paper or in the stats or even in the minds of b-ball fans all over, but the fact still remains, they ARE the best team in college basketball this year. No one can dispute that. Basketball is a game determined by who wins, not who is liked. Originally, I picked UConn, they looked like they had all the pieces. but, if the pieces don't play... Also, didn't a sophmore point guard turned center shatter an NCAA championship blocked shot record. That's quite a feat when you look at all of the greats that have come and gone over the century. (Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Akeem Olajouwan Kenobi, Patrick Ewing, Bobby Hurley, etc.) ...and he did it wearing that ridiculous pony tail. Not bad for a tennis player's son. I was happy for those kids, they worked very hard to get there. I'm not takin' anything away from thier accomplishment.
