James Isaac
Why is the tube switcher often referred to as Brennis or the Mail Demon? From the game I never remember him being referred to as Brennis, and after searching through the script I can't find those two names in it at all. I suppose I just remembered those names after seeing them on Grim Fandango sites, but I never found out where they originally came from. Does anyone know? Thrik
I've just done a complete file search of the GF directory (as in, the raw contents of every file) and there seem to be at least a dozen references to 'brennis' in walk animations, textures, imuse and such, so I guess it is indeed his name. I don't think it's actually revealed to the player during the course of the game though, so I presume it was just a development name that eventually slipped into the community. Interesting though, I hadn't really thought about it until now. I kind of assumed the subtitles would use his name but you're right — it's just "Tube-Switch Repair Guy" or something.
