Game progress update: Last night I reached the finale, I took over Darius' territory and all that's left is to defeat him in a race, unfortunately the !@#$?!! developers decided to put a total of four races in the finale, two against those three bosses I already defeated and then a city race against Darius followed of course by a canyon race. I lost 45 minutes last night trying to defeat him in the !!!&%$@? canyon and failed, now I have to do all four races again. Damn. The game still rocks, though.

 

Yeah. I already finished the finale and didn't finish beating up Darius yet. He's strong. Very strong. His car, Audi Quatto Le Man, is not half an a**. Well, when you lost the canyon duel, you simply press "1" on the keyboard to restart the canyon duel again without quiting the race, therefore without beating the three bosses again.

 

May I ask what car you using?

AT LAST! BEAT DARIUS! THANK YOU, EVERYBODY! ESP: ZTALKER AND IGYMAN! HAHAHAHAHA!!! IT'S FUN TO SEE HOW IT LOOK ON DARIUS'S FACE!!!

Upgraded its appearance and its paint and vinyls--But there is a problem--I don't have money to buy a Supercharger. NVM, I don't need it as no handling increase. So, it's a good car.

True...the colour I tried to match was an 'Unique' Green/blue-ish one from 'Most Wanted.' This was the closest I could get.

 

But...do not fear, the NEW Ztalkmobile is here! :D

I've just beaten him, and this is the tactic I preferred:

You just have to mimic him the first part of the way, with the breaking, etc. That way, you'll at least score some big points, instead of taking risks. Then there are some 'safe' parts. For example,the strange twisterlike-parts. If you stay close to the wall, you can almost get 7-8-9 seconds of 'full points' there. That's around 80%. Soon after, you see the yellowness-of the rail coming up in front of you. But surprise, surprise, it's a follow-through. The next one does require braking though. :xp:

I just tried, mimiced etc until I got more then 120.000 points, which is, imo, the minimum. I then applied the opposite tactics on Darius.

Holy crap...your guys cars are so much cooler then mine. With that lambo, Corvette, Mclaren, I feel ashamed to have beaten Darius with a Skyline :(

That McLaren looks beatifull, even stock. And that Lambo...serieously...WOW.

This was my 'inferior' machine that bested Darius....:xp:

Tips, OK, be patient and be calm when you drive through the canyon. Points are all that's important in this final canyon duel, because there's no way to keep a larger distance between him and you in stage 2 of the canyon race. Try to get as many points as you can in stage 1 (I managed to gather 140000 and at the end of stage 2 only 9000 was left before the finish, so it was pretty tight). Use the handbrake in sharp turns, but don't let go of the gas, unless you really have to. That's all that comes to mind right now, hope it helps.

What, you kidding? Skyline is even rarer than McLaren or Lambo or Covertte! It's not even sold in US! That means you got the best car among us. Oh, updated the picture.

Btw, CSI, if it's not a problem, could you reduce the size on your first three pics, they stretch the page a bit too much. :)

 

GTR? You gonna to be hell played a lot of time out of it to get that! Did you get Police Rhino?

 

PS: Yes, reduced the resolution, and changed the MB-McLaren SLR's paint and vinyls. Thank you for your tip. I won.

Nope, but I got the Police PD1, or whatever it's called - that car(s) that chase you while your wanted level is 1.

 

Congrats on your victory, like I said, you can now use Darius' Audi, but unfortunately only in Quick Race mode.

 

It's Vic. Well, they're light-weighted. Well, why don't you go unlock the fire truck and go Burnout-Revenge? That will be fun.

 

Thanks. Now I unlocked 2 Audi, what, 2 Audi? well, same car, 1 with vinyls and 1 w/o vinryls. Let's give it a slingshot.

It looks a little better, I suppose. I would have preferred igy's Corvette, if it wasn't for the non-anti-aliasing. :p

Thank you for the compliments! It's nice you get a Skyline! I like it, too, heard it's the best tuner's car.

Alright, so, i'll eventually get this game, and i would like some advices. Which car to choose first, and which team to join : Tuners or Exotics?

 

Hi, Jason:

 

1. Well, I don't know which class you like so I'll list some advantages and disadvantages I concluded from the game:

 

Exotic cars has very good top speed and very good accerleration, even without any performance upgrades. But of course, they have drawbacks: Very expensive to buy, and their handling are not as good as Tuner's cars.

 

Tuner cars are just opposite. They rely on performance parts in order to beat the same class exotic cars, and they got a fair top speed and accerleration. But however, they're excellent at handling and very cheap to obtain.

 

Besides, the initial class selection would affect the order of bosses you would defeat. Thanks to Ztalker to mention me this!

 

Like me, when I played about to the middle of game, I bought a Tuner's car (350Z) first then I get a Exotic car (McLaren).

 

2. You can't join a team, but you just recruit crew members. Here's the list by order:

 

1. Neville, Blocker, you have him since the game starts.

2. Sal, Scout, after winning some race, Nikki brings him to you.

3. Colin, Drafter, after you beat Wolf, the 1st boss.

4. Samson, Blocker, after you beat Angie, the 2nd boss.

5. Yumi, Scout, after you beat Kenji, the 3rd boss.

6. Nikki, Drafter, after you are arrested by Cross by beating all 3 sub-bosses and she helps you out of the jail.
