The Battle of LF Sith{RP}

Aurora looked at Randus, intently. "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.... or the one." She sighed. "You're right, both of you, in a way. The Jedi Order, though there were many things right about it, also had some things which were not right. It may indeed be in my best interests to join you, but it is not my life that matters. What matters is that the children of tomorrow grow up in a galaxy free from tyranny and fear, and that the Jedi of tomorrow can learn and grow with a Code that permits them the freedom to fully follow the will of the Force," she raised her eyes to the heavens, "whatever that may be."

She raised her blade in a final salute, and faced them, resolute, but serene.

"Welcome home, my friend." He said in ghosty voice. Suddenly, the katana in Aurora's hand hovered up and flew and slowly landed on his hand. Pulling it out, the Shadowy figure said calmly: "Penetrate, Cross!" Suddenly the Katana's blade enlonged like a bullet and penetrated Aurora's heart...The blade didn't stop, and aimed for Darth Randus.

Randus was watching all of this with great intrest, until something cought his eye. A shadowy figure, that was able to control CSI's Katana, and use it.... to kill his former master, but also noticed it was heading for himself as well, and jumped clear out of the way before it had a chance to hit him. "Nice try, Jedi! Its going to take more than that to bring down a Sith Lord!"

"Is there no problem you dodge my blade?" The shadowy Figure said in a ghosty voice. "And I see you confused yourself." And the blade continued to extend to Arion. Arion's eyes widened and used his lightsaber to block it. "Bang!" Two blades clashed together. And because of the huge inertia, Arion was pushed into the cave--and the blade followed up, and swiftly dodged the lightsaber, and fatally impaled Arion onto the wall. Arion's mouth moved a little, but he was unable to speak. Soon, his body vanished, and he became one with the Force.

The blade retracted back and changed back into CSI's Katana. "Sorry, Aurora and Arion...Farewell..."

When the sand settled down, the ghosty figure took down his hood--it was CSI...

CSI said nothing at first. Instead, he reached into his breast pocket and took out a classic clock. He studied it carefully for a while, and finally said: "Mmm...it still got sometime. Why don't we play a round of Pazaak, then?"

He smiled and then took out a standard deck of Pazaak, and began shuffling it.

"Trying to stall eh... Time for what? Something tells me your not the kind of jedi to sit around all night at the cantina.... If you insist... i will give you the pleasure of a game of pazzak before i gut you... Jedi, if its ur last request..."

As he moved closer, he took out his sith lightsaber and held it by his side, and got ready to activate it.

"I can assure you that the feeling is not the same!!!" Randus yelled back to CSI while activating his lightsaber. Just before lunging at CSI, he dropped a hologram that had not activated yet.

When he lunged at CSI he had his lightsaber in his hand aimed right at his neck, aiming to kill...

CSI ceased his smile and reached out his left palm. "Stasis Field." "I'm sorry, Darth Randus. It's time." Then he tied Darth Randus up in lightning speed.

Then he made a politic bow to N'Dul, "Thank you for our awesome performance...But we have to go...Into Exile." Then he used Dimension Shift and teleported to the Cantina.

Suddenly, he re-appeared, "Sorry, forgot something." Then he used the Force picked up the Starfire Twin's lightsabers. "Bye, N'Dul. Glad meeting you."

In the cantina, dozens of heads turned as CSI and Randus appeared out of nowhere. One of the cantina's patrons waved a hand, and said, "Nothing to see here. Everyone, go on about your business." Then she turned to the two newcomers, and said, "Well, you two certainly know how to make an entrance."

Arion grinned. "So, how was the party?"

Aurora took a long sip of her amber-colored beverage, then rose to her feet. "Unfortunately, we can't stick around discussing it. At any moment someone could come in and crash our little party."

Through the Force, she and Arion retrieved their lightsabers from CSI and returned them to their belts.

"While it's been good to come back to Tatooine, you are correct. It's time to go." Arion drained his glass, and stood up. "Let's head back to the Pheonix."

CSI smiled, and put down Randus, "Before we go, I still got something to deal with." Then he walked up to the bartender: "I want 10 bottles of Juma Juice. Thank you. 100 Credits, and keep the change."

After a short while, 10 bottles of Juma Juice was packed in a big box. "Now, shall we?" Then he disappeared in breeze of wind.

After him, the bartender shouted: "You're still 1 credit short!"

"Welcome back, folks." CSI stood on the loading ramp, "The Hyperdrive is ready. Why don't we give it a try?"

Then he walked into the cockpit and sat in the copilot position. "The new hyperdrive doesn't need the calculations. It's just same as Dimension shift."

The Pheonix's engine roared, and shoot up into the sky. Not far, CSI typed in the coordinates, and asked: "Ready for Hyperdrive?"

After a while, he got the murmurs of the "Ready!" Then he punched a red button. "Let's Roll!"

A blue like appeared in front of the ship, then extended into a blue rectangle. Then it moved towards the back of the ship, then it vanished into a dot...

((Arion's spirit is still in a crystal, which N'Dul still has...))

N'Dul watched all this through the Force. CSI evidently did not believe in hiding his power...And soon the snake in their midst would bite.

He set off back to the space-port, all the time tracking the three Force signatures.

"Come, Lord Randus. We shall see what will happen next."

Darth Randus followed his master when he was summoned, after just missing CSI and being stopped by stasis field... he was angrier than he had ever been.

"Those Jedi fools escaped our grasp... again." Each word he had said about the recent battle was dripping with both anger and hatrid for the jedi's escape. "But I have a idea on how to get us to confront them once again... I am going to set it into motion, we will hold a.... meeting." He chuckled evilly, thinking that his plan would not fail.

After saying that, Randus pulled out a holo-communicator and called his former Jedi Master, Aurora.

((That wasn't really Arion, it was a doppelganger. The real Arion and Aurora were in the cantina the whole time.))

Aurora left CSI and Arion in the cockpit, and sat down in the dormitories. The recent events troubled her, and she needed to meditate, to focus, to analyze her feelings, and try to determine the will of the Force.

Her padawan's betrayal hurt her, deeply; more deeply than she had first thought. She hadn't understood at the time why CSI had insisted upon those precautions, but she was glad he did. The Sith Lord's rejection of their offer saddened her, as well, because she knew that he could have been a great help....

* * *

She felt Arion's touch through the Force, and knew that he was concerned about her. She sent him back reassurance, and knew he was there for her if she needed him...

* * *

She examined the sense of betrayal, and remembered the many examples she had had, those of the Masters that had taught her, and the ones who had come before. So, she took all the feelings of betrayal that coursed through her, and she let them go; let them dissipate, through the hull of the ship, out into the vastness of space. She took, too, the sadness that came of the Sith's rejection, and released it, as well...

Having let those feelings go, she realized a much deeper, more cutting feeling. Guilt. She had failed her padawan, she had not been able to train him to resist the dark side, to resist the darkness within himself, she.....

::Stop it!:: Arion broke into her meditation, firmly. ::There was nothing you could have done. Mind what we have learned. Remember what Master Yoda used to say, "Make a Jedi fall, one cannot." Ben chose his path, it was no fault of yours.::

Aurora sighed. ::You are correct, as usual. It's just...::

::I know,:: he told her, gently. ::But I can't let you blame yourself. Let it go, and there will be peace.::

She nodded. ::I will let it go.::

Arion gave her a wave of compassion and support, then his sense began leave.

::And Arion?::

He paused.

::Thank you:: she whispered, through the Force. She felt his smile, and then he left her.

Calmer, now, she purged the guilt from her heart, and let it go, with the betrayal, with the sorrow..... She sank deeper into her meditation, letting the Force flow through her, become part of her.....

* * *

"Aurora, get up here!" Arion called from the cockpit. "We're receiving a transmission!"

She stood at once, and hurried to join them.

Darth Randus saw Aurora materalize as a hologram infront of him.

"Greetings, Aurora" Randus said darkly, paying no attention to her companions. "I sensed your troubled mind over my recent actions, come to terms with events of late? It would be much easier if you had joined us... however, I have a.... proposition for you. A meeting of sort, call it what you want. You may choose the location, and a few terms.... I would HIGHLY suggest that you accept this offer, this will by your ONLY chance to accept my offer."

Aurora glanced at CSI, and at Arion, who shrugged his shoulders. Her mind racing, she keyed the response.

"Randus, this is certainly a surprise. Yes, thank you, I was able to attain a certain measure of peace. Your offer is.... well, interesting. We will meet you at Avirandel, in the Alderaan system. As for terms..... I don't feel that they are necessary. Can't we simply have a civil chat, then go our separate ways? To fight seems so pointless..... Regardless, we will meet you there tomorrow. Aurora out."

CSI said nothing; he stared at the dashboard. Clearly, his brain was storming.

"This would be a trap, but however we got to be there. We should be ready and my Final Releases would come in handy. What do you think, Aurora and Arion?"

"Thats Darth Randus, or Lord Randus, to you Aurora. However, i never mentioned anything about.... peace, perhaps a temproary resoultion, or a change in your loyalites to the Jedi. Besides... isnt a former apprentice allowed to call when he pleases? Do not attempt anyting before or during our.... meeting, espically you CSI. It would be unwise to anger me or my master." He replied to Aurora through his comm before she ended the transmission.

Randus walked back up to his master and said "Milord, I have set a trap for the jedi on Avirandel, in the Alderaan system. They are willing to 'meet' us tomorrow. How should we perpare for it?"

Aurora frowned, deep in thought. "Yeah.... you're right. It may indeed be a trap, but regardless, I sense that this is the will of the Force."

"Besides," Arion smiled. "It's always an interesting experience to see your Final Releases in action."

"Well, it's no use sitting around here. Let's get to Avirandel, and see what all this is about!"

Arion punched in the coordinates, and in a moment, they were off.
