The Battle of LF Sith{RP}

"Yes, actually, I do have other things to say," Aurora told him, firmly. "The Jedi Code has often been interpreted in ways that imply forbidding a Jedi to feel emotion. This, however, is a misinterpretation. Emotion is a natural part of life, and should not be suppressed or overcome, but rather should be explored, and understood. Some emotions can cause hurt, yes, but many can bring healing. Love, joy, compassion, all of these are good, and should be encouraged. But hate, bitterness, rage, these emotions are harmful, to mind, body, and spirit, and cause suffering." She paused, and her eyes were sad. "I know you have suffered in the past, but there is healing, for those who need it. You speak of strength, and power. Well, I tell you that of all the powers in the world, the greatest is that of love, and that you will not find among the Sith."

"DID THE SITH NOT LOVE ME WHEN THEY TOOK ME IN WHEN MY PARENTS WERE SLAUGHTERED BY JEDI" Randus roared back.... "The jedi just left me there for dead after killing my parents, and what was i supposed to do? Run out and meet them with all the joy in my heart after watching my entire FAMILY BEING KILLED!"

After saying all of this, he gave himself a minute to cool down, "You are the only person since my parents that i seem to have devloped feelings for... strong ones. You do not know how hard it is for one such as I, no family, i may never forgive the jedi for what they did to me..."

Aurora stared at him, a trifle furious that he could believe she could be that uncaring. Finally, she said, "Of COURSE I know how hard it is. Of COURSE I understand. I have family that mean more to me than anything else in the world, just as you did. If anything, ANYTHING, happened to them, I could never forgive myself for letting it happen. I don't know if I could forgive the ones who did it, either." Her voice trembled, and she was lost in thought for a moment, then continued, softer, but a little steadier. "But I would have to try, for the sake of everything I believe in, for my family's sake, for the sake of the galaxy. There is more at stake than you know, for those of us who touch the Force. Not just our lives, but the lives of millions, hang in the balance."

She paused, then said, "I'm not going to ask that you join the Jedi, not after everything you've been through. But you do not have to be Jedi to serve the light."

"You want to know what the Light has done for me in the past Aurora, FINE... I shall show you." Randus said as he begain walking at a fast pace toward her, agressively... and then placed one of his hands on her forehead and began a vision of his past.

::"Son, get into the cave and stay there until it is safe... I sense someone is comming and will be a danger to us."

"But dad, I want to help, I may be young but i can carry my weight in a-"

"DO NOT argue with your father Ben, do as he says... there is not much time left."

Several minutes later Ben heard the foot steps of someone apporaching and then a conversation started...

"Ahh, Master Windu, to what do we owe this honored visit after you exiled us?"

"You are accused of aiding the sepratists, and are susspected of committing treason to the Republic, surrender now and gather your things... the senate will decide you and your family's fate."

"THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS, we have not done anything Windu, we are simply trying to live our lives and staying out of the way of this wicked battle. Why cant you and your Jedi Order stay out of our lives, we stay out of your busniess.Yet you don't have the decency to respect us enough to grant us even that... we will not surrender under this outrageous charge, old frind." he heard his father say with a mixture of anger and betrayal in his voice.

He then heard his mother step in "Windu, you exiled us, and now your betrayal deeply hurts us.... I sense that you will attempt to take us by force arn't you?"

"Unforunately... yes, we will." Mace said, motioning to a padawan, both activating their lightsabers.

"Well then, my friend, we will do what we must to protect our life here... i am sory it must come to this." He heard his father say while both he and his mother activated their lightsabers.

Inside the cave, Ben could hear and 'feel' a intense battle going onside, he could see the sparks caused by the clashing of blades... and after a few minutes he heard the battle grow more intense and crawled out of the cave a little only to see Windu kill his father, while his mother was trying to protect herself from the padawan. Then about 3 minutes later he saw Master Windu cutdown his mother.

Upon seeing this, he was filled with anger, pain, and a great sadness inside, he also wanted revenge. He loved his parents more than anything, and they were ruthlessly killed infront of him after being disarmed. The 12 year old's eyes started glowing bright yellow when he heard Windu begin to walk off, however seeing the padawan staying around because the battle had drained him so much.

The padawan did not realize that Ben was there, nor did ne realize that he was emerging from the cave...

Ben had not realized that he raised his arms, and just then the padawan had noticed him, but it was too late for him to save himself from the extremely powerful lightening that followed. While he was killing the padawan who had helped kill his mother, he shouted with all the breath he had "DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU JUST KILLED, JEDI SCUM... MY PARENTS!!! You can burn in hell for what you have done, for I will not rest until every one of you disgusting Jedi are dead!"

The last thing that the padawan saw was the look on the boy's face and just before he became one with the force, realized the huge mistake they had just now made.

After killing the padawan, Ben collapsed against some rocks and leaned there crying uncontrollably, until a lone patrol of clones found him, their commander, just happened to be the one who had befriended him before and did what he could do to help make him feel better. When they arrived back in the captial, the commander took Ben to the chancelor, who had been a long-time friend of his parents during his days as a senitor.

Palpitiene seemed to be furious when Ben told him what had happened to his parents and once again lost contol of his emotions. Palpitiene took pity on the boy, honoring a agreement he had made with the boy's parents and decided to take the child in and care for him, just as the boy's own parents had done. They had been one of the few who knew who his true identity, and when needed would help the Sith Lord out.::

With that Randus pulled back from Aurora and waited to see the one Jedi's reaction...

Aurora just stood there, stunned. She had very seldom experienced a vision like that, and she felt a little overloaded with the emotions streaming off of him. Anger, hate, but most of all, pain.....

"I'm... I'm so sorry. I don't know what to say."

She turned the events over in her mind, exploring them, trying to figure out what exactly had happened, and why. "Were your parents guilty of the crimes Master Windu accused them of?" she asked, softly.

"No. They were exiled for getting married and having a child. Then moved to a secluded spot on geonosis, where nobody could find them. The Jedi were as arrogant as ever and decided to TAKE IT OUT ON MY FAMILY." Randus said in a voice so quiet that Aurora would have to use the force to be able to listen to it, and then shouted the last part.

"The Jedi indeed did not know that we were indeed living there on our own. My parents were one of the few true friends that Palpatine had made... he respected them for who they were, for what the Jedi had done to them and welcomed them with open arms. My parents were one of the few who knew his real identity, and he cared about what happened to them and made sure that the Jedi would not bother us... The Jedi found us simply because we let our guard down and felt us through the force... the arrogant slime of a padawan got what he diserved... and so did Windu... eventually. The chancelor or Darth Sidious kept his word about his deal and did become my guardian, and treat me just like any parent would their child... and he did... he never harmed me except for when i disobeyed him, and even tought me about politics and the skill of manuliplation."

As CSI and Arion went about their business, the shadows squirmed, writhed and churned, pouring into the room from throughout the library, and billowing, until they nearly filled the entire room...

In another part of the library, N'Dul was looking through the more restricted shelves.

"Z'bol...Z'gel...Zhentik's See Ziost...And Die!?" He picked the book up, intrigued, read the back, pocketed it for later, and returned his eyes to the shelf. "Zi'vak...Zjol-Mantilis...Zjol-Zjol...Zol'Pan...Zurvess...Zyltok...Ah!" He pulled the book from the shelf. "Z'zulless' Advanced Alchemical Studies and Non-living Matter. Good." (Published year 216, of the reign of Koldath the Insane)

Perusing a little further around the circular bookcase, he came to R. "Ragnos, Marka." He raised his eyebrows. "Didn't know Ragnos had published anything." N'Dul pulled the book out. "Power." He laughed. "How very you, Ragnos!" He left for his laboratory again, carrying the two tomes with him.

She frowned, lost in thought. "I don't know what happened. I was only a padawan myself at the time, and I don't remember hearing about it, or reading about it in the records. But it sounds to me like you, and the Jedi, were set up. Palpatine..... Palpatine was a known manipulator. I'm not saying it's a definite thing, because I don't know for sure, but someone caused this, and it would have had to be someone important, and reliable, at least on the surface, for the Jedi to have acted on their information."

* * *

Arion blinked as darkness poured into the room. "Er, CSI? I think there's a problem with your "sound controlled lights".

"Im telling you that he did not set us up; even vader came up to me and told me the truth... and they both allowed me to probe both their minds to see fully, and i knew for myself that they did not know, i was even for a time a emperor's hand until he was defeated at Endor that is..."

Aurora sighed. "You are very trusting. I'm sorry, but until you have more proof than Palpatine and Vader's words that they did not set you up, then I must follow my own deductions. And even if they didn't, someone else did. But if you must blame someone for what happened to you and your parents, then blame me. I am one of the last of the Jedi, and I accept the responsibilities that come with that."

By now Aurora was completely exasperated. "Of COURSE I understand. I've been trying to tell you that from the beginning. You think the Jedi are emotionless, that they merely adhere to the Jedi Code, no matter what it says. I tell you that you are WRONG. And I tell you that your betrayal hurts me more deeply than you can ever know, because I trusted you, even when nobody else did. I had faith in you. But you took my faith, my trust, and you trampled it under your heel, like any other Sith, using me for their own ends, in this case, your amusement. It AMUSED you to play with me all this time, when really you never had any intention of staying with the light at all."

She turned away from him, fighting back tears. I thought I was past all this...

"The light betrayed me before with taking my parents... I don't want to know what it will do to betray me next... you were the first person besides Palpitene and Vader that I cared for since my parents death... I still do, and you cannot begin to imagine how much you are hurting me now.... perhaps my instincts were right, I should just have stayed in that cave so long ago."

Aurora turned back around, and looked straight into Randus's eyes. "Then let us stop hurting each other, and instead work out our differences, our hurts, our grievances. Let us find a way to overcome the betrayals of our pasts, and instead work towards a future where we can trust each other, even if there is no one else left that we can trust."

"Let's shed some light, then. I told you technology can't be fully trusted." CSI stood up, and silently murmured: "Force Light." and slowly opened his eyes. A strand of light emitted from his eyes, and the bright light soon filled the library.

N'Dul. It was you, right? And I see you have a strange intersting on books. Curious. CSI thought. Then he smiled shallowly, and went back to the Practical Astronomy.

She shook her head. "No, but hate is an emotion of the dark side, and your behavior in recent times, and the things you have told me, lead me to believe that that is the path you have chosen." She looked into his face, searchingly. "If I am wrong in my belief, I wish you would tell me."

Randus began walking toward Aurora and calmly stated "Perhaps it is the path I have chosen, I can feel it now inside me, just like I have ever since that day with my parents, and you would still reject my feelings toward you?" By the time he finished asking, he was standing right in front of her.
