More likely it would be centers of learning, not the dark places that Kreia describes but maybe things like holocrons and the like. I guess it is to convey that knowledge is passed down even after death or something.

Not all are cremated...

 

Aside from the tomb in JA, there's also Ulic Qel-Droma, 'though I suppose his Jedi-ness is questionable...

 

I get the feeling that very important Jedi were entombed (hence the JA tomb). Perhaps only before the Ruusan Reformation or some other major change in the Order, since it seems the practice is cremation in the films...

 

I think it's an interesting idea.

It would be an odd thing for a Jedi to do. Their principles preach humility and being subservient to the Force, while a tomb is a very grand (and vain) gesture that places total importance on the individual. Sounds like a rather Sith-ish thing to do. :)
