darthriddick
I'm not quite sure how to do that sort of thing, I was wondering if it's even possible. yup it's possable, but umm, not sure how many people will want to do it. jezter
Is there a tutorial on this sort of thing?
m16965
You realy do need to put more description in the thread, for example a picture or a link to one. I have no idea who Kate Beckinsale from Under World is. ***** You can reskin someone by extracting thier texture from Kotor tool.
jezter
I know I should of done that, so, now I am. This picture is mainly for the focus on the Corset that Kate Beckinsale wears in the movie. No one has to make this corset, if they don't want to. This is the only picture I could find, that shows the back of the Corset, that Kate Beckinsale wears in the movie UnderWorld. This is a good picture to show the side of Kate Beckinsale's outfit in the movie UnderWorld. The only reason I wanted to make a mod like this, for Knights of the Old Republic, is because of Bastila's hair, in this game, it annoys me. I think she should have medium hair that at least covers her ears. And I think she probably could wear a Corsette too, if anyone's up for it. If you don't want to do it, give me a tutorial on it, and i'll again try to attempt it.
Hayden Kered
This would be really cool. It would be a good skin to use for when Bastila goes DS. Too bad I don't have the skills to do this, but I hope some one can!
jezter
Because I don't know if there is any tutorials on this sort of thing, maybe, there isn't. I'm willing to try to make this, I don't know how though. Maybe, I should keep researching or something. I don't even care if someone makes a crappy mod of this, anything beats Bastila's haircut, then the one she allready has, maybe, they could replace her hair with someone's else's, I don't know. And I've seen leather outfits out there for this game, so, I think that's do-able too. But how to do this, I don't know, but i'm not giving up on this idea, because I think it's a good one. Boba Rhett
I seem to recall making a PS of her as Bastilla. I'll see if I can dig it up for ya just so you can have an idea of what it'd look like.

jezter
If that's possible to put into the game, I was thinking the hair should look a little more like this. But if not, the closest thing to the Kate Beckinsale haircut in the KOTOR 1 game is this I believe. Let me know which hairstyle is easier to make, if not, i'll have to figure out a way to make it, if there is a way to change the hair of the bastila model, or something, or replace it with an in game hairstyle, not sure. Kristy Kistic
For the hairstyle the pfhb02 head would probably fit the best. (Assuming this is for K1)
Hayden Kered
Here is all the PC female heads from K1 to help out a little. EDIT: The second one down in the middle row would be perfect for the hair, just would have to change the skin tone a bit if the whole model is used. jezter
Pfhb02 and the 3rd hairstyle for the pc seems like it would work the best. I could do this with kse, but you can't change the clothes and stuff, if it isn't a playable character, so, hmmm... Not sure what I should do, how do you change the model of the character, is that the mdx or mdl files, or is it something else.
Master Zionosis
You can make it so that head is able to be chosen at the portrait selection, it involves editing the Appearance.2da, portrait.2da and heads.2da files, but as i cant edit 2da files (as they will be the death of me) i am afraid i cannot tell you how to do it, but there are tutorials on how to. jezter
Is the file I need to edit to change Bastila's head, is it a .2da file, an .mdl file, what is the file? I'm not sure, which file I'm supposed to edit.
Master Zionosis
Well, a .2da is like a data file, if you open one up in kotor tool you'll see what i mean, and a .mdl is a model file it has to be imported into 3dsmax or gmax with a plugin called nwmax, if you want to change the appearance of bastilla you can edit the appearance.2da file, or edit bastilla's .utc file (character file). jezter
Finding any of the bastila editable files with the kotor tool, like for example if there was bastila.mdl, I don't know where it's located in the kotor tool.

jezter
how are we killing Bastila? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How so? I decided not to edit the .mdl file, there has to be a way to replace Bastila's head, with another head in the game, right?
Master Zionosis
No, if you open p_bastilla.utc (located in kotor1--> BIFs--> templates.bif--> Blueprint, character--> p_bastilla.utc) there is a drop down menu that will change the appearance type to any of the entry's in the appearance.2da file, like so: Once your finished with that file, save it to a location and place it in the override folder, i believe that will also work for what you want to do. I decided not to edit the .mdl file, there has to be a way to replace Bastila's head, with another head in the game, right? Yes. Look in heads.2da and find the entry that contains the PC head you want to use. Then go to appearance.2da to Bastila's entry and change the value in the head column to the new value. jezter
I'll try that, I didn't know I had to change something in a .utc file, hopefully, this works, if so, I'll let you know.
Light of the Fey
Its just...I don't think that woman is that pretty and I honestly think she is cross eyed and...insane. Bastila is far from it until she goes darkside. So if you use it as a darkside transition I think that would work out.
jezter
Now I think I have to edit heads.2da, and appearances.2da, wish me luck.
