DrPhil2501
"Lyna?" Cade spoke as he gawked at the creepy girl. "Am I just hallucinating, or do I see a ghost right in front of me?" He walked over to the girl, and swept his hand across the belly of the girl. His hand went right through, and all he touched was nothing but air. "'kay! Its a ghost!" SkywalkerRules
The little girl glared at him. "Of course I'm a ghost...genius," she said to Cade, in her dried tone. "Because of you, I'm like this! You should've stayed a Jedi, Skywalker! You could've helped others! But noooo! It had to be all... about... you." She showed her teeth in anguish. You could see that some were missing. Before the little girl could get any closer, Lyna grabbed a chair and raised it in the air. "Back! Back you!" The little rolled her eyes, and Force pushed Lyna into the wall. She looked at Cade. "Better tell your girlfriend to settle down." The scary girl began to laugh, dryly. "Hah! Girlfriend! You and her! Oh that's rich!" She laughed some more. Master_Archon
"That you don't have a ship of your own," Cass answered. "And judging by what I've seen of you so far, you're more likely to run off with any ship that strikes your fancy. So really, it's more a desire to hang on to my ship than anything about you... although..." Slate looked over at Cass speaking in a mischievious manner, "although, what? Hm? Go ahead, tell me, I won't hurt you for it." They kept going, winding through the halls towards the hangar, Slate waiting for a response.
DrPhil2501
"I had my reasons for leaving the Order! And trust me, it was for your own benefit!" Cade glared at the ghost. "So don't you try and preach me, corpse!" This was probably the most meanest thing Cade has ever said, especially towards a young child. Regardless if was a ghost or not. SkywalkerRules
The little girl looked at Cade. Her eyes were filled with sadness, because of his anger towards her. Then, she replied quietly, "Ok. Ya know what? If you want the galaxy to be in the hands of the Sith... that's fine. I can see that people are dying because of them. But hey... seems like you don't care anyway." She shook her head sadly. "Sorry for trying to make you see the truth. But your destiny will come back, Skywalker. Just like your ancestor said." With that, the little girl faded away. Lyna looked at Cade. She quietly walked over to him, and placed a gentle hand on his arm. "Cade? I... I think she's right. You gotta be a Jedi again. We can..." DrPhil2501
((uh-oh. A new Comic has come out and its a completely different story. Oh well. We could always make this RP an Alternate Reality or something.)) Cade stared at Lyna. His expression suprisingly calm after his little conversation he had with tha ghost. "Maybe you're right. Maybe you aren't... I don't know..." Cade turned his back to Lyna. "I've always wondered what would have happened if I had remained a Jedi. Would the Sith be destroyed by now and the Galaxy once again at peace?" Cade thought back at the Lightsaber he once used against Darth Nihl, which belonged to an old friend. Marrassia. "But you don't need to be a Jedi to save the Galaxy, do you?"
SkywalkerRules
Lyna looked at Cade for a moment. She thought about the question he asked. Then smiled. "Whether you're a Jedi or not, I believe a Skywalker can save the Galaxy. And if you needed any help..." She came closer to Cade. "I'll be there for you. We'll all be there for you." She looked out into the view. "Somewhere... out there in the opening... there is hope. We just got to have courage and hope to stop the Sith once and for all." Lyna looked down and whispered, "Just like mom taught me." She added, "And if the Sith Lord tries to find you, they're gonna have to go through me first!" Lyna laughed heartily. "I'll leave you alone now." She began to walk out. "See ya later."
DrPhil2501
Cade watched the girl exit the room. The thought of Lyna sacrificing herself for him was just unbearable. She was a nice kid, but Cade couldn't stand seeing her get hurt. Infact he'd rather die. He lay on the bed and nodded off too sleep... The next morning, Cade was in the Hanger. He was currently help packing some cargo for the Mission they were assigned last night.
SkywalkerRules
Cyan yarned when she woke up. She strecthed in her warm and comfortable little basket. Then she jumped on Lyna's bed, and licked her master. Lyna giggled, her eyes still closed. "Heh heh, stop it." Lyna woke up, and yarned. She looked at the little binjinphant and smiled. Then she replied, "Good morning, Cyan." Cyan squeaked happily. After Lyna got dressed, she went to the Hangar. There, she found everyone packing. Lyna yarned tiredly. "Good morning, everyone." Grace
"Well, let me be honest then, Slate," Cass said, loosing the overly cheerful manner. "You are a mystery to me. I like a good mystery, but I haven't yet found one that manages to hold my interest after I've unraveled everything mysterious about him, her, or it. So I suppose you could say it's a search on my part. We'll see where you lead." They arrived at the hangar and Cass made directly for her ship, but as soon as she neared it, she groaned. "Aww!" she grumbled. "They didn't clear out their virus." She sighed. "Well, Slate, if you're intent on riding with me, you'll have to wait. I think I can clear this out and get us flying in an hour. If you're not in the mood to wait, well then I guess maybe we'll meet again... eventually." Without waiting to hear which way Slate would choose, Cass dropped into the pilot's seat of her fighter and retrieved a rather odd looking device from a small case beneath the controls. Then, she set to work... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "Yes!" Cass exclaimed. "Got it... now if I can just..." The little ship powered on and Cass grinned, looking out into the hangar for the first time since she'd set to work. And that's when she realized she'd been working on her ship all night long! "Oh, my!" she murmured softly. A further glance around the hangar did not reveal any signs of Slate and Cass frowned. "Oh, I'm going to be terribly disappointed if he shoved off without so much as a goodbye..." she muttered. At that moment, she watched Lyna enter the hangar and offer a tired 'good morning' and after saying 'hello' in return, Cass returned her odd little device to its case beneath the controls and stood. As can be expected of someone who's been sitting in basically the same position for a full night, Cass was very stiff. But she shook it off easily and rubbed her eyes, sore from close work. DrPhil2501
"Wow!" Cade commented on the look of tiredness on Cass's face as she walked passed him. "You look like you haven't slept in a month!" Cade looked back at the plasteel cylindar, and opened it. He peered inside, and found what appeared to be a stash of weaponry. Blaster Rifles, Pistols and even Grenades. He reached his hand inside to pull out a pistol and an ion energy cell ammo clip. "Nice!" Cade smiled, as he smacked the ammo clip in the gun. Grace
((She didn't walk past Cade. She's standing up in the cockpit of her fighter... so you can see her, but she's not terribly close. And she doesn't look very tired either )) Cass laughed. "I think spice is ruining your eyesight, Skywalker," she retorted. "I've gone without sleep for far longer than the period of a day. Longest I ever went was..." She frowned thoughtfully. "... six months, I believe..." Nodding absently, she sat again in the pilot's seat of her fighter and began fiddling with the controls. Master_Archon
Slate didn't leave, but he wasn't in the hangar, he was around, and in fact contemplating, what Cass had said had kind of dissapointed him, was he just a puzzle? A very, very intricate puzzle. Slate hated telepaths...well, he didn't exactly hate them, but he did have it against him. He didn't like having his mind prodded, nor his thoughts known, even if the telepaths were kind enough not to do so, it didn't really matter to him. Though, having the capability to use ninety percent of your brain functionality prevented even the strongest from reading his mind. He wasn't one to brood, his thoughts and actions were quickly decided, but with such power of mind, a simple forethought to him, could be a complete plan and agenda to another. But when he brooded, his personality, which is naturally calculating, and manipulative, along with cold, often caused his thoughts to turn dark, that was his downside, the mix of his mind and personality often caused good things to become bad, bad to worse, and worse to utterly horrible. He had been thinking all night, wondering the ship, calculating plans, retrieving the groups' weapons, gathering info, and all the while doing this, he was brooding over his thoughts, that was his mind. He trudged into the hangar, two plasteel cylinders strapped to his back, he tromped by Lyna and Cade as they stood doing whatever it is they did, and he took no notice in Cass. He set the two cylinders down, the sound of them slamming on the hangar floor filling the hangar. He opened one up, checking inside, they were filled with explosives; det packs, mines, grenades, even explosive putty. He thought to himself only a moment before closing the cylinder, and walking off. He came back after awhile, approaching Cade and Lyna, he threw a bag at them without a second thought, walking by to do other things. The bag was filled with their confiscated weapons. Slate approached Cass's fighter, climbing up inside the small cockpit, with Cass standing there, he looked around until he picked up a datapad, he searched through it for a moment then set it down, exiting the craft without a second thought. Slate dissapeared one more time before he came back with a samll box, heavily labeled box, a fairly aged fellow following suite barrating the seemingly thoughtless man. "Hey sonny, gimme those back, can't a man have a right to look at some goo ol' fashion literature?" The man could be heard complaining. The man went on, even going into profanity after some time, but on his third or fourth round of bantering, Slate paused only for a short moment, twisting around, he hit the old fellow across the jaw defty, with the back of his hand, as it was clenched in a fist. The man fell to the hangar floor in a heap, Slate turning back around, and walking towards Cass's fighter, all that had transpired with the moment of violence only taking less than two seconds. Slate set the box in the back floor of the fighter, then he sat down in the fighter, picking up the same datapad from before, he began searching it again, this time he remained where he was for a decent split of time. Grace
"Glad you didn't run off with the first working ship you could find," Cass told Slate without even turning to look at him. The small reactor at the rear of the fighter made a faint whining sound as it came active and Cass finally turned to look at Slate. "You never take that helmet of yours off, do you?" she asked. DrPhil2501
"Thanks man!" Cade called to Dante, as he opened the bag to reveal their confiscated weapons. Cade pulled out his Lightsaber and Blaster. He pulled out Lyna's Lightsaber and threw it to her. "Catch!" ((Just out of curiosity, what ships are we taking for this mission? SkywalkerRules
Lyna caught her lightsaber in one hand. Then she replied, "Thanks, Cade." She smiled. Lyna walked over by his side. "I can't wait to start this mission. It's been years since I helped someone." She looked at Cyan. The little binjinphant jumped on Lyna's head, and let out out a squeal. This meant that she was excited. Lyna patted her pet, and laughed. She turned to Cade. "Need any help with the supplies?"
DrPhil2501
Cade looked around him at the plasteel cylindars filled with supllies and weapons. He could use a hand. "Yeah, could ya' give me a hand with putting these cylindars in the ship?" Cade flexed his muscles and grabbed one of the cylindars. "Where are my manners... Please?" he chuckled. He walked away with the cylindar and walked up the ramp of the Avatar.
SkywalkerRules
Lyna nodded. "Sure." She grabbed one of the cylindars and followed Cade up the ramp. Once she got in, she stacked it with some other cylindars. Lyna turned to Cade and smiled, just before she got out to get the rest of the plasteel cylindars. "So, Skywalker... ready to kick some Imperial behind? I know I am!" She chuckled.
DrPhil2501
"Baby, you know I'm up for it!" Cade chuckled, as he pulled out his blaster and rubbed it for good luck. He went out to get more cylindars. Finally, his work was done, and he felt everything was ready to rock-and-roll. He walked up to Shado. "Hey Shado. You ready yet? 'Cause I feel an itch to get off this rock of a base!" SkywalkerRules
Shado turned to Cade and grinned. "Yep! I mean, I usually don't say this but... when we get down to Kashyyyk, it's time to party with the Imperials." He rubbed his hands in excitment. Shado replied, "Boy, I can't wait to start this mission, though." He looked around. "Hey. You have any idea where Master Sazen's at?" ------------------------------------ ((Coral Mai, Lyna's adoptive mom, is just gonna make a one appearance. If that's ok.)) Lyna sat down at the cockpit. Things looked ready from what she saw. Suddenly, she felt something in the Force. Lyna turned around. What she saw was... her mother, in Force ghost form. Coral Mai, her adoptive mother smiled. "Hello, Lyna," she said, through her sweet, gentle voice. Lyna was speechless. She haven't seen her mother since the last time they were together. The young woman got up, and bowed to Coral. "My mother and Jedi Master..." Lyna said, sobbing. "I... I haven't seen you since... you died." Coral smiled. "I know, my child. But I came to comfort you, before you go into Kashyyyk to protect the Wookies. And to tell you something else." She came closer to her young daughter. "Arise, my young shining star." Lyna rose to her feet, and wiped away the tears. She replied, "Mother? I'm glad to see you again. I mean... it's been long. But... what was it you wanted to tell me?" Coral's face turned to sadness. Then she said, "You might want to sit down. This might be very hard for you." Lyna sat on the pilot's seat, confused. Coral began her story. "When I first saw you in the abandoned house... I saw a strong little girl who would grow up to be a brave Jedi. I loved you like my own. But..." she sighed deeply. "I know who your real parents are, Lyna." The young woman's eyes widened. "What?! You do?" Lyna was eager. "Who were they?" Coral stared into Lyna's eyes. Sadness grew into the Force ghost woman's eyes. She answered, "Lyna... what you're about to hear... is the truth. Your parents... were criminals." Lyna, shocked at Coral's words, shook her head. "No. It can't be!" Coral calmed Lyna down, and said, "Peace, Lyna. You must be calm. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you beforehand." Lyna looked at Coral. "Why didn't you tell me before? And how do you know all this?" Coral closed her eyes, and bowed her head. "I just didn't want to see you broken. And... there was a note, I found, when I saw you. I read it, and it said: Dear friend, If you find a young child in a basket, in the closet, please take good care of her. Her name is Lyna Honso. Her protection is in your hands now. We maybe criminals... but we love our daughter too much to get in harm's way. Sincerely, Sasha and Jasten Honso P.S. There is good in her. We know it. After Coral said this, she stood up from the co-pilot's seat. Lyna cried. "Oh, my dear..." Coral said, gently. She wished she could hug her, but as a Force ghost, she couldn't. "I'm so sorry. But I love you, and I didn't want to see you hurt." Lyna looked at Coral and smiled. "I know. It's not your fault." Coral smiled. When she turned her back to leave, her final words were, "I also know that you have feelings for this Cade Skywalker. Someday... you'll tell him. Goodbye, my shining star." After this, Coral Mai faded away. Lyna cried once more, because of the horrible truth she heard. She covered her face, under her folded arms. DrPhil2501
"You know, I have never seen Wolf since last night" Cade commented. "I wonder what he is up to?" In truth, Cade didn't personally care what his old master was doing. XG-91 walked to Cade and Shado. "I know this is disgusting for me to say, but good morning, Master!" The droid announced. "Where were you all this time? We could have used an extra hand!" "Please, Master!" XG scowled. "As a droid running low on power, it is my routine to recharge every few months!" SkywalkerRules
Shado grinned at XG. "Good morning to you too, XG. We understand that you had to recharge power. Don't worry." He scratched his head to think. Then he replied, "Well, everything seems to be in ship-shape. I don't know about the others, but I'm ready to go." ----------------------------------- As Lyna cried under her folded arms, Cyan came up to her crying master. She could see that Lyna was sad about the truth her Force ghost mother told her. Cyan crept by Lyna, and licked her left hand. Lyna looked up and saw Cyan by her side. She picked her up, and hugged the little binjinphant. "Oh, Cyan. Why couldn't she tell me earlier? I wouldn't be upset if she told me." She closed her narrowed eyes, and looked down. Cyan snuggled against her master's chest, to show that she understood.
DrPhil2501
"Then I shall inform Wolf and Vaar of our immediate depature... Savy?" Cade walked off to go and find Vaar.
