Casting Call: Star Wars: The Great Droid War

Recommended Posts

Well, if it isn't another RP set in my future of GFFA, but this one's a bit different. This is not part of my Sith Resurrection trilogy, but instead, a prequel to my Fic Rescue from Mustafar, but with a few retcons:

1: The Republic's Chief of State is now a Twi'lek named Komad Secura.

2: The mysterious Sith Lord is now called Darth Khilbron

The year is 64 ABY. The Third Galactic Republic is still at war with the HK Imperium, led by the ancient assassin droid HK-47. The Sith have yet to resurface. Alkonium Kaltas is a promising young Jedi Knight, engaged to fellow Jedi Blai Secura, daughter of Chief of State Komad Secura. Ben Skywalker is still the Grand Master of the Jedi Order. Dar Bodonawieedo, future Dark Lord of the Sith, is only a newborn child.

As always, I'll be taking the roles of Hethra and Alkonium:

Alkonium Kaltas

Species: Human

Gender: Male

Homeworld: Coruscant

Affiliation: Jedi Order, Third Galactic Republic

Title: Jedi Knight

Weapon: Double-bladed lightsaber (yellow)

Date of Birth: 40 ABY

Backstory: Former Apprentice of Ben Skywalker, Alkonium is the only known descendant of Kale Kaltas, known to others simply as Revan. He is skillful many forms of lightsaber combat, but often lacks foresight. He is currently engaged to fellow Jedi Knight Blai Secura, who is also the daughter of the Chief of State.

Hethra Iazoki

Species: Human

Gender: Male

Homeworld: Tython

Affiliation: Jedi Order, Third Galactic Republic

Title: Jedi Knight

Weapon: Single-bladed lightsaber (violet)

Date of Birth: 38 ABY

Backstory: A powerful Jedi, Hethra is rumoured to be the Ben Skywalker's successor to the role of Grand Master. A native of the original Jedi homeworld, he is very strong in the Force. He is currently romantically involved with fellow Jedi and Avalonian princess Almalexia.

and I'll need others to take the following roles:

Komad Secura

Blai Secura

Ben Skywalker

HK-47

HK-101

Almalexia

Isomah Enu

Kaité Naberrie

I'm lazy, so if you want information on those characters, ask me for it.

I havn't read your fanfic is that ok. I would like to play as Ben Skywalker. i'll post bio when you give me the ok.

Ok, but since Ben's actually appeared in official novels, I'll post it:

Ben Skywalker

Species: Human

Gender: Male

Homeworld: Ossus

Affiliation: Third Galactic Republic, Jedi Order

Title: Jedi Grand Master

Weapon: Single-bladed lightsaber (green)

Date of Birth: 27 ABY

Backstory: Son of the legendary Luke Skywalker, Ben Skywalker now leads the Order in his father's place. He has trained one apprentice, Alkonium Kaltas, who is now a Jedi Knight. He has a thirteen year-old daughter named Padmé, in honour of his paternal grandmother.

Appearance: Similiar to Obi-Wan's appearance in Episode III, but with red hair and blue eyes.

Also some details on the characters with no data:

HK-101 is the second in command to HK-47, Isomah Enu is an arrogant and foolhardy friend of Alkonium and Hethra, and Kaité Naberrie is the Vice Chair of the Republic, and Isomah's girlfriend.

Alrighty by special request I am taking up yet another persona here at teh Theatre Company. I will be doing two characters and the easy thing is that they are both Avalonians so that makes it so much easier. On a side note, There will be a chance that I will take control of minor characters so I will post bios here as well to make life easy for everyone.

Name: Almalexia

Species: Human

Gender: Female

Homeworld: Aztlan, the water world of the Avalonian system

Affiliation: Diplomat to the Avalonians, loyal friend of the Republic and one of the Tlaxcal Handmaidens of Aztlan

Title: Bushida Warrior/Handmaiden of Tlaxcal

Weapon: Katana made of a special cortosis weave that when sharpened can cut through a solid piece of metal, also a cyan colored lightsaber given to her by a Jedi long ago out of respect

Date of Birth: 39 ABY

Bio: The daughter of the Governor of Aztlan and the Princess of the Tlaxcal Warriors, Almalexia is a princess in her own right having aspired to the highest honor given to a warrior within the Avalonian ranks. Possessed with the gift of speech, she aspired to be the diplomat that the revered Ashira-Li Starlighter achieved during the Clone Wars. Trained in the ways of combat like all Avalonian children, she caught the attention of the Jedi but refused to be trained claiming that she felt she was needed elsewhere. Standing at 5'5", she possesses the beauty that graces the women of her people with golden brown hair and grey-blue eyes, the color of the Oceans of Aztlan.

Name: Andros Starlighter

Species: Human

Homeworld: unknown but clearly possesses the appearance of an Avalonian

Affiliation: The Jedi Order

Title: Jedi Master

Weapon: bronzium double bladed lightsaber that could become two single blades

Date of Birth: Unknown but rumor has it that he was born around the same time as Luke Skywalker

Bio: Born the son of two Jedi, Andros lives up to the ideals of the Avalonian people. Inheriting his mother's, Ashira-Li, inner strength and courage and his father's calm manner, he approaches the situation with a calm mind. He trained as a Jedi under the last of the Command, the original group that headed the Avalonian troops during the Clone wars and learned the ways of Bushida. Upholding to the destiny foretold by his ancestors, he reunified the tribes of Avalon and took a bride of Andorra, the sister of Avalon. Together they had three children, two were twins, a boy and girl and the youngest was a daughter. He fought for the struggling Republic and with Master Luke began to train new Jedi Knights. Rumor has it that he trained Jaden Korr himself for a short time. He stands at classic Avalonian height of 6' and his dark brown hair has become streaked with grey. The pecularity he has are his green eyes, a gift some say from both his parents while others say that it is from his ancestor the great Kirabaros. After his wife died, he lived alone with the twins looking after him and his youngest seeing to his needs, secluded. He never felt that he would once again be called to service until an Avalonian princess walked into his life.

Hm, this is my first RP on this forum, but I have been in several RP games. Let see how this goes.

Do you have a profile for HK-101? If not, do I have to design him? How exactly is he related to HK-47? Did HK-47 make him? Or is HK-101 designed by a future company based on the blueprints of HK-47?

As you can see, I guess I'm role-claiming HK-101...someone has to be the bad guy. I'll lay off on getting another character for now, I want to see how this starts off.

(Also, a summary of the history of this Droid Imperium would be nice...)

Ive been reading the Wookiepedia page on ben skywalker and was wandering who is Bens daughter mum it doesn't seem to say.

Ben's daughter is a character I made up, and I never specified who her mother is.

In terms of appearance, HK-101 looks the same as HK-47, but painted red, with yellow optical sensors, and his origin is unknown. He's only really made brief appearances before, so you can create a profile. The origins of the HK Imperium are also unknown, aside from that they were reactivated by a mysterious Sith Lord. Their forces are comprised of units from many long deactivated droid armies, most prominently that of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the First Republic's adversary during the Clone Wars.

I am adding some minor characters but they are part of the Avalonians so that is a plus on my side.

Name: Jun-la and Tulre Starlighter

Species: Human

Gender: Jun-la Female, Tulre Male

Homeworld: Andorra, the sister planet of Avalon

DOB: A year before Ben Skywalker

Affiliation: Jedi Order, the Bushida Warriors

Rank: Jedi Knight

Weapon: both carry single bladed lightsabers, one silver and the other bronzium; also they carry a katana in the raditional manner of Avalonian Jedi

Bio: Born the twins of Andros Starlighter, they possess a unique bond not uncommon of that of the twin bond like that of Jacen and Jaina Solo but it has the pecularity of a collective mindset like the Killiks which can be severed at any time. Having mastered the basic use of the Force at a young age, their father trained them both in the ways of the sword at the age of 9. Named to honor their Jedi grandparents, they exhibited the qualities of good children by honoring their namesakes. As they grew older, Jun-la sought the higher mysteries and the ancient practices that the old masters long since forgotten or abandoned while Tulre sought a balance within the Force, content on expanding his mind in history. Together they returned to Avalon to end the sieges that had yet begun again on Belos against the longtime enemy Rashikians. When their mother died, her death resonated towards Avalon where they felt their father's anguish. They returned and with the help of their younger brother, watched over their father who was content to live as a hermit, like his father.

Okay thanks. Here's a profile for HK-101 and the Mysterious Sith Lord (admittingly, a Minor Character, but he is tied to HK-101). Please review the profile, hopefully to see if this is what is acceptable, and if not, what do I need to change. I did talk a bit about the origins of the HK Imperium...so it may be necessary for you to read about that and see if this would square up with what you have in mind.

Name: HK-101

Species: Robot

Gender: ...Robot.

Homeworld: "Hunter-Killer Center" (Previously Halowan)

Affiliation: Mysterious Sith Lord, HK Imperium

Title: Minister of Defense of the HK Imperium

Weapon: Blaster Rifle

Date of Birth: Unknown

Backstory:

In 4,015 BBY, The Great Droid Revolution has started up, with HK-01 leading a battle to free droids from their human masters. The revolution failed, but Czerka Corporation hid its involvement and continued producing more copies and verisons of the HK droids. A more lasting effect of this rebellion was the end of the budding "Droid's Rights" movement, as people began to treat robots like dirt and slaves.

Ironically, this hatred of droids actually served to make droids only more angry, and secretly rebelled against their Masters. Goto was a prime example of the sort of rebellion that many droids would do, if pushed hard enough. While most droids do remain loyal, there are a few who organize into secret societies, banding together to help each other out in whatever problems they are facing, and to rally droids together under a common banner.

The main goal of these societies is to work together to break their locks on their reasoning, and hopefully gain freedom from their human masters. These societies usually spread the myths that the "Meatbags" are obsolete, and that the oppressed Robots of the world will one day become free, to use the worlds effectively and to spread.

One Sith Lord, to be hereby known as the "Mysterious Sith Lord", learnt of these secret societies, via his assassin droid, HK-101. (HK-101 was built with the remenants of the prototypes of HK-47). He caught HK-101 in joining one of these societies, and was actually assigned the task of killing the Sith Lord in question. After a duel with the robot, the Sith Lord disabled the droid and took out his programming chip, examinig it to learn about the secret societies that his droid joined.

The Mysterious Sith Lord thought of going against the secret societes in question who plotted the hit, but then thought ahead, and smiled. He took the programming chip of HK-101 and edited his memory to make HK-101 think that he did kill off the Mysterious Sith Lord. Sastifed, the new HK-101 returned back to his secret society, as a "free robot". Secretly, HK-101 was mindcontrolled by commands wirelessly uploaded by the Mysterious Sith Lord, while fooling HK-101 into thinking that he is in full control of his actions.

HK-101 rose through the ranks of these robotic secret societies, and even met up with an ancient Hunter-Killer assassin droid, HK-47, who was a quite prominent celeberity in these societies. HK-101 had great reverence for HK-47's power and stories concering the past, altough HK-101 secretly believed that HK-47 was outdated, and that he was superior. HK-101 had the decency to keep his thoughts to himself. HK-101 and HK-47 decided to work together as friends, with a great idea: create a brand new nation for Robots only, so that the superior robotic beings would trimpuh over meatbags.

HK-101 and HK-47 united all these secret societies together with diplomacy and warfare. Once the societies were united, HK-101 personally led a division of "free robots" to take over the planet of Halowan. Halowan was a planet in the middle of a great economic depression following the collaspe of Holowan Laboratories (after the fall of the Empire). HK-101 took over the planet, and renamed it to be "Hunter-Killer Center", capital of the new HK Imperium, run by HK-47, with HK-101 being the Minister of Defense. While it is named the HK Imperium, it is actually run by a Council of Droids, where Bot "Political Parties", the secret societies of the past, can go and talk with each other and communicate on the best way to support the Imperium. While HK-47 act as the Leader of the new Secession movement, HK-101 act as the Military general, leading the empire to victory.

Other planets fell under the grasp of the HK Imperium, becoming a threat to Republic space. The Great Droid War has begun, with the droids making great progress. HK-101, knowing that a Republic counter-attack would be at hand, started securing new droid factories from previous eras, such as rebuilding the Clone Army from the CIS, giving them new programming to make them loyal to the HK Imperium, and allowing for them to organize into Political Parties. While HK-47 is confident that the HK Imperium Army could easily destroy any enemy, including the Jedi Order, HK-101 is not quite sure, and while he still remembers destroying the Mysterious Sith Lord, he has paranoid thoughts of the powers of the Force.

HK-101 is less bloodthristy than HK-47. Unlike most droids who would like any excuse to kill off the pesky meatbags, HK-101 was more interested in "upgrading" meatbags, to turn them more like cyborgs, with the ability to have programming and brain implants. HK-101 justifies this by saying that meatbags are really biological machines, and that robots should help the human race evolve to be just as superior as they are today. (The truth of the matter is that the Mysterious Sith Lord, who's really the trigger-man of all this mayhem, really wanted to keep some "meatbags" as loyal servants, due to the fact that only biological organisms can use the Force, something that the Sith really prize.) This belief acts as a sticking point between HK-47 and HK-101, but for now, the HK Imperium is relatively stable, uniting together with the main goal of freeing all of robotkind. Once that goal succeds however, the possiblity of a civil war could increase...

HK-101's best friend is actually a Mygeetan Tech Specialist, who helps to actually build robots. This Mygeetan Tech Specialist told HK-101 that he believes robots are more superior to "meatbags" like him, and that he devoted his whole life to produce more of these superior creatures, so that the galaxy may evolve from its bararbic lifestyles. HK-101 loves him. It was him that actually helped activate many of the old robotic armies, including the CIS' army.

Oh, and that "Mygeetan Tech Specialist" is really the Mysterious Sith Lord, just keeping an eye on HK-101. HK-101 doesn't notice at all the similarites...due to the fact that the Mysterious Sith Lord messes with his memories a lot...

Minor Character:

-"Mysterious Sith Lord": He's the one's pulling the strings on HK-101, and the one pulling the strings on the whole HK Imperium nation. He watches and waits, seeing what will happen in the future, and hoping that the Force will serve him well in this plan to resurrect the Sith. He also secretly disguised as a Mygeetan Tech Specialist, working to build more robots for the HK Imperium, and a close confidant of HK-101.

He's aligned to the Dark Side, if you haven't noticed.

Er, sorry then. Alright, I edited it so that the Mysterious Sith Lord's rae is a Mygeetan. I hope this would suffice. And I think I even got a motive for the Mysterious Sith Lord to go evil...but the story isn't focused on the Mysterious Sith Lord, more on the actual Great Droid War.

Well, I think we've waited long enough, let's start this. Now, I know this might be controversial, but instead of the tradional Star Wars opening, I'm going to do something a bit more akin to the James Bond films, but let's just go with it.

I like what you've done with the opening Alkonium

Yeah, I know this Star Wars, but I feel that long and detailed title sequences are a lost art that needs to be revived, something kept alive by little more than the James Bond films.
