xmovingpicturesx
I've been getting into the whole DeviantArt scene and two of my favorite aspects are visual styles and docks. Does anyone know what the most popular dock is, I'm gonna guess ObjectDock? Also, is there another site where I can get visual styles and dock themes besides DeviantArt? Sabretooth
From what I know, ObjectDock is the most popular one, so there. And from experience, DeviantART has the best Visual Styles, but there is a place called Belchfire you might want to try out. Google it and try searching any other site as well. If you find something worthwhile, let me know.
Negative Sun
RocketDock is better if you ask me You might also like this site, it's a bit hard to navigate, but it's worth it it's got loads of icons for your dock, skins, visual styles for XP, etc... xmovingpicturesx
The only reason I'm finding it hard to find visual styles is because people seem to use WindowsBlinds more than just patching their system.
Sabretooth
The only reason I'm finding it hard to find visual styles is because people seem to use WindowsBlinds more than just patching their system. Because it's easier and less riskier. Try searching "Visual Styles" and not themes, skins and so on. But you probably know that by now.

xmovingpicturesx
I'm not a big fan of Vista visual styles. The closest I'll go is if it looks exactly like a black Royale with white title bars.

xmovingpicturesx
Actually, what Vista VS are you using? Right now, I have Luna Element, only because it came with a LogonUI. Looks real pretty.
Astrotoy7
you always have the vista transformation pack, which is pretty customisable. Still, I dont see the big deal. For the few xp pcs ive built recently, I have put the black royale/aka zune theme on there, for something different. mtfbwya

I'm using this one It's very light (1.3Mb) and very user-friendly, it does require a patch, but that's less drastic than what some of those packs do...I'm using it with RocketDock and IconTweaker (Need to know where any of this is? Just ask ) What LogonUI are you using and what's Luna Element?
Det. Bart Lasiter
Alternatively, there's replacement window managers like bb4win (Blackbox for Windows). http://www.bb4win.org/

xmovingpicturesx
Those look nice, just a little too busy for me. I like simple, almost minimalistic themes.

Jeff
I used to use bblean for windows and it was pretty cool, eventually I got sick of it but I think it looks nice.
Astrotoy7
Meh, doesn't sound all that great. if you arent willing to try that, all youve really got are windows shells coloured in different analogy: If you have a plank of wood thats 2x4, you can paint it whatever colour you like, it'll still be 2x4. Blackbox is the equivalent of taking a fine saw to that plank of wood and making it look slender and pretty lolz.. hope you get your plank the way you like it mtfbwya
xmovingpicturesx
I like customization, but I still want to retain a "Windows" feeling. On another note, it seems I get these visual styles that are called black, but they end up being dark blue or dark purple. I can deal with dark purple, but why don't people call it dark purple? One of the great mysteries...
