Astrotoy7
Some of the elder folk around here, or those with a good knowledge of gaming history will know all about the Nintendo Game & Watch Handhelds. I used to play Donkey Kong 2 for *days* (not hours) when I was a kid, and could "clock" it(go past a reset score of 999) up to 5 times(my record at age 9). I long ago lost it but recentlty rediscovered the joys of G&W from This Site which has java editions of all the great G&W titles, all cutely presented within the original handheld shape and replete with original sounds. The DK II version is superb... I can see myself wasting alot of time on it until I beat that ''5 clock" record from 23 years ago !! If you ever were a fan of the G&W series, check it out (if you dont know about it already) A friend pointed out the irony of fact that Im playing this on my recently built super gaming rig --- a Vista x64 system with a DX10 eVGA 8800GTS 640mb graphics card with 4gb of DDR2 XMS RAM lolz....the power of nostalgia mtfbwya PS - make sure you have the latest version of Java Installed(if you dont have it already) Available for free from java.com
Lynk Former
Man, it's been so long since I last played a Game & Watch... I'm pretty sure I still have this one... ...around here somewhere... I hope XD It was great cause it was meant to be played by yourself, but if you wanted to you could get another person and play 2 player lol. You load boxes into a truck. It was pretty funky as it folded out sideways and was a cool purple color. I've been playing that a bit on the above site too !! mtfbwya

REDJOHNNYMIKE
Now now Astro, don't get worked up, you'll knock over your walker and lose your teeth. It took sooo long to get them out of the bedpan last time. Good luck on your record! XD Closest I ever had to owning one of those things were those cheap handheld games you'd see at Ames and K-mart. People always thought those were the best christmas present evur. "Oh Johnny, this Christmas we got you a video game system!!!" "Yay" "Here's the batteries!"
