Du Man Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 I can't tell from the model pic, is the design woven into the shirt or does it use that plastic, paint like stuff that cracks as the shirt gets old? If you are using the latter then the black dots in the back should show up anyway, but if you're using the former... If you're picky try consulting the artist. I don't mind the black dots disappearing into the black shirt, I might even suggest using a different color scheme for the dots, but then again I'm no artist. For me the only vital part is to keep the Grim Fandango title on the shirt, which you could just print in white or the creme color that's like the game's official font. If you haven't noticed in the title graphic of this forum, that's why most of us are favoring the creme color with black and white.
Scorpicus Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 Wow, I never knew GF T shirts even existed! So definately black!
BangBang Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 I had changed my mind to print on creme t-shirts but we've had a few more votes for black now! Would you guys be happy with black being printed onto black? It obviously won't show up very well so we'll probably be left with the white part of the image. Here is an example of the black and creme t-shirts:
Du Man Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 hey you just pasted an image over the creme shirt! Just joking, it's cool. yeah black is the favorite, but I'm worried about the background design and logo disappearing in the black. For now I would go for the creme, but I'm thinking if you shifted the background design and GF logo to creme while keeping Manny (the skull) B&W, I'd go for it. but hell, I'll probably end up buying both colors.
tk102 Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I had changed my mind to print on creme t-shirtsSo no white? Why wear black? It's a t-shirt-- you know something you wear it when it's *hot* outside? Wearing cream to me is kind of meh-- I'm on the fence as to whether I'd by one. I'd probably buy the cranberry before the cream actually. I guess you can't please everyone though.
BangBang Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Hey guys, I've put some creme t-shirts in for printing with this design. I may print it on black t-shirts in the future too
Du Man Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I'll be sure to buy the creme first, the black can wait
kolto Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 whery nice GF t-shirt the price bites but i thing i'm going to save a bit and buy one
BangBang Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Shuz, If you help me sell the creme ones by telling all of your GF fan friends about the t-shirt I'll be able to afford to print some on black! kolto, unfortunately, this is the cheapest I can sell them at but here in again it's not too expensive. Where are you from?
Du Man Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 is black a particularly expensive color to print on?
SeaTurtle Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Are you planning on printing the design on any other style of shirt, or just T-Shirts? And will it be available in female sizes?
stewlil Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Wow i really stirred everything up by yelling Black. and im sticking with my decision! It looks good.
BangBang Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Du Man - Black isn't particularly expensive to print on. Just need to know from you guys what colours you would want the design to printed in. It's currently black and white. SeaTurtle - Currently planning to only print on t-shirts. What else would you like to see it printed on? I would print on female if there was enough demand, yep
SeaTurtle Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 What else would you like to see it printed on? I prefer V-necks to ordinary T-shirts. Maybe long-sleeved shirts, too. And I didn't mention before, I'd probably go for black. Well, they say black is slimming.
BangBang Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Hey guys, we've picked up the creme t-shirts and they came out great! You can check them out here: Grim Fandango t-shirt - Creme What do you think?
JagJedi Posted November 2, 2007 Author Posted November 2, 2007 Those look AWESOME! I bought the cranberry one already, but it looks like I'm going to have to buy another! Thanks so much for working with us on this BangBang!
Shuz Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 The creme ones don't look so bad. You can still see the background detail. Looks like I have to speak to my old friend...Mr Credit Card!

BangBang Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 Thanks for the comments, people The white looks great against the creme background.
stewlil Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 The creme does look good, but I still think black looks better.
BangBang Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 The creme does look good, but I still think black looks better. Cool. I might print onto black when I sell out of creme. If you like creme you need to get them quick as they're selling fast!
