Jedi Master Aagin Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 i must say what bugged me contsantly in both kotor games and still does is that your character didnt talk or say anything when you picked an option and it both suprised me and made me angry that bioware did voices for mass affect and never released a patch for kotor with voices for the PC. while obsidian so far hasnt created an RPG that does a voice when you click an option (that i know of) i still wish i could hear myself. can anybody help me with this? please???
DarthRevan243 Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 You want to add a line for every single answer in the game? Thats over 1000 lines of voice acting! Nobody would want to do that. EDIT: I would suggest that you request for it to be for a module or 2 like the endar spire. Some people might be interested then.

Inyri Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 It's not recording the voice lines that would be the biggest pain, it would be editing all -- every single last one -- of the dialogues, which would naturally make it incompatible with a lot of other mods as well.
Jedi Master Aagin Posted April 22, 2008 Author Posted April 22, 2008 well then, i must contact my older sister pffff... wheres the phone??? You want to add a line for every single answer in the game? Thats over 1000 lines of voice acting! Nobody would want to do that. i am, i use my voice past that amount every month. if i can do that, i WILL do this! now, off to buy a headset! inyri, seeing as your recruitable kay mod has a voice, what tool or something should i use to apply the voices?
Inyri Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 You need tk102's Dialogue Editor. Trust me, when you see the amount of dialogues you'll need to modify I am certain you are going to give up this idea (just on grounds of practicality). I spent a year and a half editing the dialogues for my mod, and there were only 50-odd some of them. FYI, it would be *well* over 1000 lines.
Jedi Master Aagin Posted April 22, 2008 Author Posted April 22, 2008 even if it takes five years i will do it. and if i cant make it through all of the dialogs, i will release what i have! im determined to try!
DarthRevan243 Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Very well. We've given you help, tried to stuff some sence into you. I love the fact that you're so detemined about this! Go get 'em tiger!
Sithspecter Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 One thing also to consider is that the PC has different races, and also you'd have to lipsynch everything. The filesize would be enormous, and I don't think you'd get too many DL's.
Robespierre Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 You want to add a line for every single answer in the game? Thats over 1000 lines of voice acting! Nobody would want to do that. Try 20,000-40,000. And imagine the sheer size of the thing.
Dan Loto Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Why don't you start smaller and just do Taris? It'll give you a good idea on what lies ahead.

Sithspecter Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Not everyone has broadband. I can barely download 7-10 MB in a reasonable amount of time. But, still, EVERY dialog in the game would be modified, so it would be incompatible with just about every other mod out there.
