Darth Revan Robe Mod Help!

Ok, I am using Shem's Darth Revan Robe mod, and Kristy's no-cape mod with it. I have 2 TGAs that I use instead of Shem's for my own personal use. I also use Drizen's robe mod and I edited it so it's neutral and it's masked just fine. But when I used Kristy's masked, capeless model to use for Shem's dark and light side revan robes, the model is ok, because I can see that it is indeed the masked model, BUT my PC's head is still there, causing it to cover the mask partially and clippling and it's just horrible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How can I get a screenshot of it on this thread from my computer, not the internet???

I'm possitive it has something to do with the use of 2 different items.

You can mod an item to make you look like Darth Revan who wears a mask and a robe by default. But I've also seen a mod that makes Revan's robes and mask two different items and it does the exact same thing. Unfortunatly I don't know how to easily overcome this. The only thing I can think of is that you go into a graphics program such as Maya or 3DS Max and combine the two items. I'm not sure if this will work though, I've never gone into a program mentioned above and actually changed the physiology of a model.

Sorry I couldn't be any more help.

You are using too many mods that are alike. My game crashed today because I was using "Bastila's Jedi Robes" and "Mandalore the Ultimate" mod together.Look at the files. If they have the same name like:

appearance.2da and appearance.2da they may be in conflict with each other!(crappy example I know)

I think I might have found a solution. I learned a little more about the .uti files, so I'll edit some things there to edit the appearance.

I even was able to create my own robe mod just last night by doing it - Grey Jedi Robe. I don't know If it's been done before, but it's for my own use, right?

But anyway, I'm gonna test if that did the trick or not, almost at the place where I obtain the robes.

There was no problem with my Grey Jedi or my brand new Grey Jedi Master Robe I made(I wonder if I could release them on filefront?...)

But I use Shem's Revan Robes, and I replaced the TGAs with new ones. And I use Kristy's No Cape Revan Model, AND Drizen's(I think that's right) Darth Revan Robes which are completely separate from Shem's. Drizen's are masked perfectly, but Shem's aren't. They're hooded but the mask is a separate item. I just don't like the clipping and the mask sticking out too far.

I hope this was a more specific description.

Basically your saying that your using the N_DarthRevanF or N_DarthRevanM ( unmasked models ) with an addon mask instead of using the N_DarthRevan ( masked ) model which is apparently the look your going for.

Shem's mod was intentionally designed to use the unmasked model. Therefore when you equip the mask it does not switch to the masked model which is what you want - it just puts a mask on the unmasked model.

Anyone horribly confused yet? :xp:

Two things I can think of that would remedy this:

  • 1st method - Modify the revanmask.uti included in Shem's mod to include a disguise property that points to the Revan masked model. Not sure if the mask itself would still show and look like your wearing two masks.
  • 2nd method - This particular method will prevent you from using the unmasked model. Follow Shem's instructions on using my mod with his:

Then with the male unmasked model files, make three copies of each N_DarthRevanM.mdl and N_DarthRevanM.mdx files. Name one copy pmbjl.mdl, pmbjl.mdx, the next one pmbjm.mdl, pmbjm.mdx, and the last one pmbjs.mdl, pmbjs.mdx.

For the female ones, either pick out the original look or the more feminine look. The file names are N_DarthRevanF.mdl and N_DarthRevanF.mdx and make three copies of each. Name one copy pfbjl.mdl, pfbjl.mdx, the next one pfbjm.mdl, pfbjm.mdx, and the last one pfbjs.mdl, pfbjs.mdx. Then put them in the override folder. Make sure when you rename them that you don't rename the extensions (the .mdl and .mdx).

However, instead of using the N_DarthRevanM.mdl or N_DarthRevanF.mdl use the N_DarthRevan.mdl

Hope you at least understand why your not getting the look you want.

Edit: Since your already getting the desired masked effect with Drizen's robe, it would be easier to just switch to his when you want to use the masked model.
