Jae Onasi Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Obama is cancelling some of his campaign stops to spend time with his seriously ill grandmother. Articles: http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/20/obama-leave-campaign-trail-visit-sick-grandmother/ http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/20/campaign.wrap/index.html For those of you who are people of faith, please say a prayer for family comfort and healing.
mimartin Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 I wish Madelyn Dunham and the entire family my very best. Though this news is truly sad, it will be interesting to see how it plays out with both campaigns. Will this soften the attacks? I remember when Clayton Williams had the race for Texas Governor all but locked up, except he forgot his etiquette and refuse to shake Ann Richards’ hand. Ann Richards won the election. The American voter will tolerate a lot, but you can only push them so far even in Texas.
Jae Onasi Posted October 21, 2008 Author Posted October 21, 2008 I think McCain will exercise some discretion, but the question is if the loose cannons in his campaign show discretion.
Web Rider Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Fortunately, after sifting through several hundred news articles, everyone seems to be sticking with the base story. "Gramma sick, Obama pause campaign to visit for while." Haven't even found a disrespectful blog.
Arcesious Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 I can't offer a prayer, but I'll just say I hope she gets better.
