LordOfTheFish
This is something I found on the web. I'm sure some of you may have heard about it, but since there's quite a few lotr fans on here, I thought I'd post it. http://thehuntforgollum.com/ Due to be released in 2009! Astrotoy7
there's some quality beardcraft happening in that trailer right there. People sometimes just don't realise the skill and workmanship that goes into crafting a fine beard + stubble combo. mtfbwya.
Arátoeldar
It certainly can't be any worse then the Peter Jackson fan film.
Ztalker
Excellent! I always thought it was a shame to not include this stuff in the trilogy. I mean, Gandalf and Aragorn...hunting down Gollum. Epic stuff. Too bad there is MUCH more left out. Tom Bombadil, the whole Return to the Shire chapter to name two. And yes, the beard is epic. The_Catto
I was heavily annoyed when I realized they had cut out Tom in the movie. [Meaning I threw my bucket of popcorn at the screen. Which was kinda a stupid thing to do seen as though I was at the very back row in the center and the room was packed... However, it WAS a good idea at the time] This fan film looks good. Definitely want to see it.

Arátoeldar
I've never seen LOTR. who's Gollum? You Sir, should be Drawn & Quartered for such a blasphemous statement. Smeagol was a hobbit that lived near Anduin river towards the end of the Third Age of Middle-Earth. His friend Deagol found Sauron's Ruling Ring while fishing one day. Smeagol murdered Deagol to have the Ring. Eventually he was thrown out of his village by his grandmother. After possessing the Ring for 500+ years. Smeagol would make a sound in his throat as Goll-um. I'll let you read the LotR book to find out more.
Ztalker
I've never seen LOTR. who's Gollum? You know red riding hood? You know Pinochio? Then you know LOTR. It's an element of child hood. Everything orc, halfling and dwarf related theme originates from LOTR. EVERYTHING. It's basically the medieval fantasy bible. EDIT: @ Lordofthefish: Nice link! Very nice looking project as well. Aragorns history is very interesting. Maybe finally people will understand why he's 80 years old in the Lotr.

LordOfTheFish
Google Gollum, and you'll see that he's this creepy little grey freak who crawls around on all four. I got a whole new point of view on Gollum when watching the beginning of the RotK movie...

El Sitherino
What's ROTK? There is only one Return my friend, and it ain't the King, it's Of the Jedi. they are without doubt the greatest fantasy movies of all time. Untouchable! You say that on a Star Wars board? LordOfTheFish
Star Wars, in my mind, is science fiction/fantasy. Note the slash.

Ztalker
^George Lucas has claimed SW as pure fantasy and not science fiction! Then why does it have spaceships and fiery laserswords? And no orcs?
Quanon
Then why does it have spaceships and fiery laserswords? And no orcs? And no Elf babe with skimpy clothes
Ztalker
And no Elf babe with skimpy clothes Mjeah. I wouldn't call Amidala's extraordinary huge dresses skimpy. Star Wars should be remade. With and elf babe. In skimpy cloths.
Hayden Kered
Then why does it have spaceships and fiery laserswords? And no orcs? Don't ask me, ask the one who said it was! Actually I always believed SW to be science fiction. I was dumbfounded when I heard GL call it fantasy and not science fiction! It was on one of the DVDs.
