ggctuk Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I wondered if there was a way to edit The Phantom Menace - changing graphics, music, sound effects, that sort of thing?
neon_git Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Sadly the Phantom Menace isn't a SCUMM game. In fact it wasn't developed in-house at LucasArts at all but rather farmed out to another studio, Big Ape Productions. I can't find any information on the game engine they used but in all likelihood it would have been a proprietary engine that Big Ape developed themselves. Without the details on the engine there's not going to be much you can do I'm afraid. That said I only did a quick google search so I could be wrong on any of those points. Sorry that's not much help.
Ascovel Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 From what I remember the engine was a spruced up version of the one used in Jedi Knight and later on in Indiana Jones and The Infernal Machine.
jp-30 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Yes, it was a modified JK/MOTS engine. There have been mods for the game in the past - namely new character models. Best place to look for info is to trawl through this forum, especially posts by 'Zanzibar'; http://www.lucasforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=37
