WRFan Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 This is just a small mod that restores some cut content that allows you to ask T3 about Canderous when the latter joins the party after Dxun. Download and put into the Override directory: http://home.arcor.de/wrfan/files/kotor/t3_canderous.zip The T3 dlg file already contains all my T3 other conversation fixes described in other thread on this forum. To initiate conversation about Mandalore, you must ask T3 about him on board the Ebon Hawk screenshot: http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr40/WRFan/K2_00024.jpg Edit: Please see below for further changes
WRFan Posted July 9, 2009 Author Posted July 9, 2009 sorry, that wasn't the best way to fix this. Please re-download if you already downloaded the file. In addition to restoring the T3-Canderous conversation I also fixed and restored the following conversations: - Talking with T3 about the HK unit in the cargo hold - Talking with T3 about the locked astrogation system (only available AFTER the droid displays Carth's / Bastila's holomessage). All three conversations contain influence checks (some of them hidden, hehe). Also fixed some lightside/darkside shifts and influence shifts with T3 during these conversations. It now looks like this: http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr40/WRFan/K2_00026.jpg And the conversation about Canderous like this (only if you told Atton on Peragus that Revan was evil, otherwise the conversation will be different): http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr40/WRFan/K2_00025.jpg
ganoesparan06 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Id really like to use this but unfortunately ive already got a mod that modified/uses the globalcat.2da file. And as you dont use the TSL patcher I cant use it because doin so would overwrite the other mod.
Allronix Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 You can go the old fashioned way and use the 2da editor in kotor tool to manually input the new additions. Pain in the choobies, but effective
Qui-Gon Glenn Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 You can go the old fashioned way and use the 2da editor in kotor tool to manually input the new additions. Pain in the choobies, but effective Cut & Paste is your friend Nice work WRFan. We shall watch your career with great interest!
MechWarrior001 Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 When I talk to T3 about Canderous, it eventually gets to a point where you can tell him you would like to see the holorecording, but whenever I click it, the conversation just ends and T3 rolls away. Any fixes?
WRFan Posted July 10, 2009 Author Posted July 10, 2009 Id really like to use this but unfortunately ive already got a mod that modified/uses the globalcat.2da file. yes, I'm sorry, but Obsidian forgot to add a global var to this file, which is necessary for the cut content to work. Use the 2da editor, as another poster above suggested and add the following to the file: name: 000_T3_Astro_Fix type: Number When I talk to T3 about Canderous, it eventually gets to a point where you can tell him you would like to see the holorecording, but whenever I click it, the conversation just ends and T3 rolls away hmm, that's strange. What's the exact line you are trying to use? Is it "Yes, I want to see the holorecord."? When you use this conversation option, T3 and your character should actually jump to the hyperdrive section of Ebon Hawk, where T3 should display the holorecording. Try putting this file into the Override directory and see if it helps: http://home.arcor.de/wrfan/files/kotor/a_t3cand.zip
ganoesparan06 Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Its not just the Globalcat file its also the dialogue file. I already have a T3M4 dialogue file.

But now, with that new file I can continue the dialog. I modified the globalcat to add the lines you mentioned above. Anyway, thanks for making this restoration, pal.
WRFan Posted July 12, 2009 Author Posted July 12, 2009 I have the same problem, can't see the holorecord. seems a couple of objects were still missing. Created a new package, added the p_canderous and revan_fake objects, the other files are still the same as before, please extract the archive into the Override directory and see if it works now: http://home.arcor.de/wrfan/files/kotor/t3_canderous.zip Its not just the Globalcat file its also the dialogue file. I already have a T3M4 dialogue file. what mod are you using? If it's the beta 8 TSLRP mod, my mod is compatible with it
ganoesparan06 Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 No lol. Um I cant remember which mod ive got that has t3m4 dlg but im sure its a restoration mod. Not TSLRP.
juansaman Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Um I cant remember which mod ive got that has t3m4 dlg but im sure its a restoration mod. I had a t3m4.dlg file that came with USM mod, but that was no problem, I changed the files. I also use M4-78 Restoration, Dantooine Restoration and Un-Restored Content. I think neither of those use a t3-m4.dlg file. seems a couple of objects were still missing. Created a new package, added the p_canderous and revan_fake objects, the other files are still the same as before, please extract the archive into the Override directory and see if it works now: I have downloaded the new package, and now T3-M4 speaks before showing the holorecord. Then the cutscene is over and next I return to control my player. I can see a hologram of Canderous without the helmet in the hyperdrive room, but the hologram is still there doing nothing. If I click on it it turns to me, like another character in the ship. It's funny, but is pretty weird. That's not what we are suposed to see, is it? I renamed all the files that could be duplicated to put all the new files.
WRFan Posted July 14, 2009 Author Posted July 14, 2009 If I click on it it turns to me, like another character in the ship. sorry, the script that was supposed to delete the hologram was missing. Added it to the package, please re-download: http://home.arcor.de/wrfan/files/kotor/t3_canderous.zip this should do it, I think all the necessary scripts are present now. Sorry about the mess
