Laar_Dha Posted September 26, 2009 Share Posted September 26, 2009 I am trying to make a hostile Quarren npc for K1 and having no end of trouble with him. While I can change the texture on the existing Quarren in the Taris apartments, any other editing gives some very strange results. When I edited the utc file and gave him weapons, the original character showed no change. Interestingly, an entirely new Quarren with weapons showed up on the Taris walkway, but with the original texture. If I attempt to change the appearance of another character to the Quarren, they disappear. On a side note, if I use KSE to change one my party to a Quarren, they do change appearance but do not use the new texture. Right now, I'm using the same name for the texture. I'd suggest scripting weapons into the Quarren; I'd also suggest making your Quarren unique via the relevant .2da's if you haven't already - hope that helps! So far, haven't had any luck with the 2da either. Ended up with Jolee in a smuggler outfit, of all things. I'll keep trying, maybe I'll stumble over a solution. The quarren has a very strange line in appearance 2da; all the model columns say N_smuggler. I'm confused. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Unfortunately, that is K2 and the Quarren model is somewhat different. It has separate head and body and it appearance.2da entries are completely different. Laar_Dha Posted September 27, 2009 Author Share Posted September 27, 2009 Well, I have made progress. I've got a hostile quarren spawning with his weapons. He is still using the default skin, though. Here is the appearance.2da line that I added. I just copied the line from the default quarren and only changed the tag and the the race tex entries. Edit:Problem solved.
