Hawkstrong16
And I would like to know what some of our lucasForums car experts think about it.. It is a blue 1990 Toyota Pickup short bed regular cab, 4X4, with a 4cylinder and a 5speed. It runs like its brand new, and it looks great! It isn't rusty at all, the frame recently had a undercoat put on it, and there isn't rust on the wheel wells, there is a rust spot starting by the tail pipe, but its nothing and I plan of fixing it before it gets bad. I paid $3400 for it. We were told that a guy called right after we bought it and said he was going to pay $4500 for it, so I think the salesman is kicking himself. haha... So yeah I plan on keeping this truck for a very long time. .... So what do you guys(and gals) think about it? Ill get some pics of it to post tomorrow, as its dark right now where I am.. stingerhs
well, i own a 2000 Toyota Tacoma V6 4x4, and it just downright solid. it has over 120,000 miles on it, and the only thing its needed is some maintenance. granted, its been a lot of maintenance (tires, spark plugs, fluids, brake pads, air filter, fuel filter, and O2 sensors), but that's all its needed. no electrical problems or reliability issues of any kind. and nice pick with the 4 cylinder. the only thing that i don't like about the V6 is that it can be quite thirsty if you're either pushing it a lot or using the 4WD. that 4 cylinder should keep that problem from popping up. besides, you can always pop in a air intake system and nab an exhaust system from aftermarket to make up for the power difference. good pick. Hawkstrong16
Yeah I am really hoping to get 25+ MPG with this truck, and I don't really need the power of a V6, I'm not afraid to downshift. Over the summer I had a '87 Mazda B2000 that I got from my brother, and that was a great little truck but it didn't have 4X4, and I live in Central PA. where snow is a problem. So I sold that one for more then I payed for it. One thing I forgot to mention is that it only has 171,000 miles on it, and that is actually pretty low for a Toyota, I knew someone that had one with over 300,000 before he got the engine rebuilt, and even then it still ran fine it just didn't have the power it used to, he is still running it today. And I am also the second owner, and I know that the first owner took real good care of it because of how good a condition its in

Boba Rhett
It must be loaded with features - kbb lists it at ~2200-2400 with that mileage.
Det. Bart Lasiter
It must be loaded with features - kbb lists it at ~2200-2400 with that mileage. Toyotas last forever. When the singularity comes all that will be left in its wake will be a bunch of Toyotas filled with mutant cockroaches trying to drive them to work but they can't because cockroaches can't get licenses. Hawkstrong16
It must be loaded with features - kbb lists it at ~2200-2400 with that mileage. But actually we looked it up on NADA.com and they had it listed for around $3700. And thats what the dealer wanted, but we only offered $3400 and they went for it since we had bought many other cars from them. Toyotas last forever. When the singularity comes all that will be left in its wake will be a bunch of Toyotas filled with mutant cockroaches trying to drive them to work but they can't because cockroaches can't get licenses. haha nice.. And very true. I love Toyota. My dad has had a few of them over the years, two of my sisters have them, the older one has a '96 camery with 196,000 miles, and the other has a '91 celica with 270,000 miles. My mom has a '99 Luxus(made by Toyota) and we plan on trading it in on a Toyota Rav4.. And we want to trade in our '03 GMC Yukon XL on a new Toyota 4Runner or a Honda Pilot(I want the 4Runner) Can someone tell me how to post pics from my computer on to here? lol EDIT: Got my pics for ya. My Beast of a Truck! Now this is the only rust spot on this truck. Pretty impressive for a 1990 Toyota I plan on getting this fixed. I am going to have this truck for a long time
