Star Admiral
You'll need to save up an additional $3.5 million credits after your first million. The first million will unlock the tier 7 version of the spectre weapons, which is pretty good, and the next $3.5 million will get you the tier 10 versions, which are awesome. You'll need to reach level 50 for that though. - Star Admiral

IIRC they weren't available for me in my first playthrough. Also, aren't the spectre Xs the absolute most powerful weapons in game? Or are there better ones? Mav
I unlocked the Spectre X weapons on my first play-through, for the most part they're the best you can get, some weapons will have a stat that's better than them, but overall they're usually the best. Prime
Also, regarding charm: You've probably already past it, but when you land on the citadel for the first time, do the main quest first and become a spectre before doing any side quests. It unlocks more Charm points and IIRC gives you some free Intimidation to boot. Having the persuasion skill of your choice up will help you on the side quests. Good to know. I was in the middle of doing a bunch of them before going back to see the council because I feared I'd be forced to run off before completing the side quests. I'm starting to feel like an expert with all this good advice. Thanks everyone.
Det. Bart Lasiter
Sinking points into Charm or Intimidate also leads to one of the most badass dialogue outcomes possible in your final encounter with Saren.
