Astor
I've spent today with my family at the nearby Zoo, and not only was it a great way to spend an afternoon (despite the rain and cold), it was a chance for me to practice my skill with a camera (even if I did feel a slight masculine envy of the telescopic lenses that some people were sporting compared to my small digital camera ). Anyway, i'm no Jonathan Scott, but I think I managed to get some fairly good pictures: One of four female Asian Elephants: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Ganesh Vijay, the Zoo's newest arrival and biggest attraction: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) A rather comfortable Bactrian Camel: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) An Orangutan wearing a bag: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Some chimps: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Lots of smaller primates: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Bearded Emperor Tamarin White Headed Marmosets Silvery Marmoset Lar Gibbons, including one very cute cuddly toy: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Hungry Giraffe: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) *Continued in next post due to 15 images per post limit*

Litofsky
Always a fun experience to visit the zoo, though I haven't been to one in around five years (the regional preference seems to be NASCAR over animals, but I digress). My favorite sites to visit were always tigers (not the lions, though; I never held them in as high a degree) and, though they may scare me, the snakes. jawathehutt
I usually go to the local zoo a few times every summer with some friends since its free so I might as well. I also usually go up to the zoo in Milwaukee once a summer with some friends when I go to Summerfest although that place can get as pricey as disney. True_Avery
I live in San Diego, home to arguably the best 2 Zoos in the United States so yeah, its pretty damn fun to go to the zoo here. My favorite part of the San Diego Zoo are the Orangutans because you can sit there and do hand motions and such with them. Amazing creatures. The Wild Animal Park is pretty awesome too with its mini-Africa area.
Totenkopf
Haven't been to the zoo since Sydney. My brother lost his disposable camera (after taking a bunch of photos at the zoo) at a downtown McDonalds. Not really big on the zoo, but it's cool to go to a big one every now and again. LordOfTheFish
There's a small zoo where I live but nothing special. After you've seen it once it's not worth going back. They do have a monkey though that has a blanket and dances with it. I forget it's name but it's actually rather funny.
