elTee Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Never seen something like this before Software Toolworks Secret of Monkey Island sleeves. The image is just mind-bending. But it's not particularly exciting, in truth.
clone2727 Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Tempted to make a really small offer... $2000 is ridiculous, even if it is ~300 sleeves.
QueZTone Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 yeah found some photos of freddie's and that finnish guy's collection.. http://forums.vintagegaming.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=275&d=1094835614 http://www.kolumbus.fi/retrogameland/thecollection/the_collection_640x480.jpg Certainly impressive - albeit obsessive - stuff I think some shrinkwraps are not original as they all look the same and are not wrapped as tight as they originally are. Always cool to see such a huge collection.
elTee Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 Freddie sold his collection! He is now rich and living a life of luxury, I assume.
Snugglecakes Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Haha! Madness.... $2000 is definitely over the top. I own that sleeve already anyway, that CD version of MI came with my very first SoundBlaster Pro I wonder how much the complete cd cover/sleeve/CD combo is worth. Maybe I should put it on ebay, then I could buy a new pair of socks.
SyntheticGerbil Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 This is hilarious! Good find! May favorite part of the description is this: "That's the second-biggest stash of Monkey Island sleeves I've ever seen!" I also sort of want one of these sleeves just because I used to have this release and my dad cut all the sleeves up. I really don't have a legitimate reason to have one besides that.
