With the effective dissolution of the Third Galactic Republic, the Undying Sith Empire has quickly managed to take most of the Republic's territory. Recognising the threat that the Sith Empire poses, the remnants of the New Empire and the Republic have put aside their differences, and amalgamated to form the Galactic Resistance. While the Resistance's efforts have not gone unnoticed, they would seem inconsequential to the Sith's true plans... Darth Pestilus provides the New Empire with a deadly bio-weapon, only to turn it against them, and lead countless New Imperials to defect to the Undying Sith Empire. This bio-weapon is then destroyed by a team led by Kalla Kaltas, who is badly wounded in a duel with Darth Pestilus. Leana Belina is critically wounded during a battle above Geonosis. 112 ABY - Under the guise of the New Empire, the Undying Sith Empire attacks Avalon in order to trick the Republic and the New Empire into destroying each other. They then capture Coruscant, and slaughter the Senate. The Third Galactic Republic collapses. With the aid of the Jedi Order, the survivors of the New Empire and the Republic form the Galactic Resistance. He then travelled to Setna and aided in freeing Andorra Evenstar from the clutches of Darth Virul. Following Iyav's joining Republic Intelligence, they acquired a stock freighter named the Silver Eagle, and started working together, and were recently sent by Supreme Commander Leana Belina to investigate the disappearance of the Republic Star Destroyer Cygnus. Backstory: Kalla was born at the end of the Resurrection War to Komad and Greea Bodonawieedo Kaltas. In her Jedi training, she focused on the Niman lightsaber form, which eventually allowed her to defeat Andirrul in lightsaber combat. A year ago, she met and fell in love with Andorra Evenstar, princess of the Avalon system, after her mother, the governor, was kidnapped by Darth Virul, but lost her after Andorra, in a fit of rage, killed Virul and became his new host. Two months ago, she entered into a relationship with Andorra's cousin Tonatius Iazoki. At Setna, she tricked Virul into thinking she would offer herself in Andorra's place, and destroyed his spirit when he tried to take it. After Andorra was freed, they did not resume their relationship, and Kalla remained with Tonatius. Following her ordeal on Setna, the Jedi Council deemed her ready to granted the title of Jedi Knight. After the destruction of the RSS Cygnus, the Jedi Council sent her to lead an investigation of the abandoned New Imperial base on Geonosis. There, she discovered Darth Pestilus, the new Dark Lord of the Sith, and the Republic's first information about the Undying Sith Empire. She lost an arm during a fight with the Dark Lord, but thanks to Doctor Pradhes, she was able to regain full use of her original arm. Name: Iyav Dourden Species: Human Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Gay Homeworld: Ord Mantell Affiliation: Galactic Resistance, Republic Intelligence Title: Operative Weapon: DL-62 Blaster Pistol DOB: 77 ABY (age 36) Description: Backstory: After a somewhat unsuccessful smuggling career, Iyav decided to try his hand at security work, and got a job at Huntau Station, which proved to be less to his liking than he initially thought. Then he met Komad Kaltas, who inspired him to lead a resistance at Huntau against invading New Imperial forces. After being defeated, Iyav broke his fellow security guards out of the brig of Velerc's flagship, and sabotaged Khorzan Velerc's plans. After making his way to Setna in a stolen New Imperial shuttle, he aided in keeping Andorra Evenstar alive until they could get her to a proper hospital. After that ordeal, he left his job at Huntau Station, and started working for Republic Intelligence. During his stint as a smuggler, he married a Republic Guardsman named Jareth Krotan, but he soon saw his husband for what he really was: a brute, willing to sacrifice innocent lives for the sake of his mission, and just as cruel at home. Not long after an extremely unpleasant divorce, Iyav heard rumours that Jareth's brutality caught the interest of Echelon 5. Through his influence, the Director of Republic Intelligence was convinced to join the Galactic Resistance, and the organisation survived the Republic's collapse. Name: Darth Pestilus Species: Human or possibly a near-human species (noone is quite sure) Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Unknown Homeworld: Unknown Affiliation: Undying Sith Empire, Sith Order Title: Dark Lord of the Sith, Emperor Weapon: Single-bladed lightsaber (red), he also plays on fear to demoralise his foes DOB: Unknown Description: He hides behind a long black cloak obscuring most of his face in shadow, though his eyes appear to glow through it. Backstory: How he eluded the Jedi and the Republic for so long remains a mystery, however, it is widely suspected that he had a hand in the bio-weapon used against the Republic Star Destroyer Cygnus. He is also known to use his enemy's fears and anxieties against them. While he lacks the intolerance and prejudice of his predecessor, he is still utterly without mercy or conscience, willing to gas an entire Star Destroy in order to kill one man, or bomb a planet into submission just to prove a point. Brief History: After the events of Geonosis Alriana has finally been able to put the events of her past behind her and has fully embraced the idea of living in this new future. After seeing what this new Imperial Empire is capable of she has fully dedicated herself to fighting it. After serving as the new Chief of Security aboard the Ackbar for a while, she began dating Tavaryn. As of right now, she had found out something about herself that will affect both their lives. Brief History: Not that much is known about Garja except that he rose quickly through the ranks of the Sith due to his ability to examine a situation and quickly find a solution to the problems that were presented to him. Shortly after the sith managed to capture Coruscant, Garja joined the Galactic Resistance and is continuing to serve as the Ackbar's second officer. Name: Leana Belina Species: Human Gender: Female Sexual Orientation: Hetrosexual Homeworld: Coruscant Affiliation: Third Galactice Republic Title: Supreme Commander of the Republic Fleet and commander of the Ackbar, a highly modified M104 class battleship that is capable of matching a Pellaeon Class Star Destroyer in fire power and has enough power to punch through the shields of an Sith star destroyer with a few hits from it's powerful Turbolasers Weapon: E-11 Blaster rifle that hangs on her wall until needed, Two Vibro knives, a Vibro-sword that hangs on her wall along with two old D-44 blaster pistols that also hang on her wall DOB: Unknown Personality: Belina is quite calm when not in combat situations and is respectful towards the men and woman under her command at all times. However, when in combat situations she becomes focused on finishing the battle at all costs. Abilities: She is a brilliant strategist who was able to destroy Admiral Garja's first fleet at the battle of Vergasso and she managed to fight Khorzan Velerc to a standstill earlier in the war. Description: Much of Leana Belina's past is unknown due to living on the streets but one thing that is known about her is that she was one of the best students in the military academy. Her marks were always quite high and she was able to quickly shoot up through the ranks and eventually gained command of her own ship. Soon after the war with the sith began, Belina was credited with the capture of two Pellaeon class star destroyers that were refitted and repaired and were drafted into her personal fleet. She was eventuallly promoted to Admiral and then supreme commander of the Republic fleet. Recent history: At the battle of Geonosis, Belina was badly injured by an expolding console and was taken to a Republic outpost where she was healed by Jedi Komad Kaltas. She is now fully healed and has since taken command of the Ackbar once again. She has been put in charge of the Galactic Resistance fleet. As of now she is working with her father Grand Admiral Velerc in fighting the New Sith Empire. Name: Rejira Beroc Species: Human Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Straight Homeworld: Byss Affiliation: Imperial forces Title: Second in command of the Imperial fleet. Weapon: The entire imperial fleet and all Imperial land forces. Zabrak battle cannon, two blaster pistols and an E-11 blaster rifle. All are located in his quarters. DOB: Unknown((He looks to be around thirty five.)) Description: Rejira Beroc was born on the world of Byss many years ago but no one knows his true age. He always supported the Imperial fleet even from a young age and joined the imperial fleet as an ensign. Like Admirals Garja and Velerc he is a brilliant strategist. But unlike Garja, he has no sense of morality and thinks nothing of killing. He will not kill his own men however and encourages them to think on their own and to come up with their own ideas. After Admiral Velerc vanished, Beroc took command of the Imperial fleet only to be confronted by Admiral Velerc who suddenly reappeared after the battle of Geonosis. After a short standoff with Velerc, Beroc was taken aboard Vlerc's star destroyer. He now serves as second in command of the fleet after Velerc himself and is working with Admiral Velerc in the Galactic Resistance. DOB: Unknown Description: Ravirn grew up as an orphan on the streets of Coruscant and was forced to fight for his life on many occasions as he grew up. He eventually managed to leave the planet by stowing away on a trading ship and managed to stay undetected the entire voyage. He eventually made his way to Imperial territory where he quickly gained a reputation as an excellent body guard and later, a Jedi hunter after an encounter with a Jedi knight resulted in the death of the knight. After the encounter with the Jedi, Ravirn managed to get ahold of a suit of Mandalorian armor. He recently found a job worthy of his abilities working with the Galatic Resistance and commanding a special forces group that he built up from the ground. Name: Varith Species: Cathar Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Straight Homeworld: Cathar Affiliation: Sith(Previously a Jedi Knight.) Title: The Hunter Weapon: A lightsaber equiped with a Red crystal, Mines and several thermal detonaters. DOB: Unknown Description: Varith was born on the Cathar homeworld and was quickly found to be very strong with the force. At a very young age he was taken to Coruscant and was trained to be a jedi. After years of training he was made a Jedi knight and was able to create his own lightsaber. Shortly after his promotion to Knighthood he was dispatched to the planet Cathar to deal with a group of pirates who were terrorizing the local population. It was during this mission that he met his future wift(Jirila). The two of them began a relationship after the pirate threat was dealt with. Unfortunatly, Varith had to leave and return to Coruscant. Three years after he left Cathar, he was sent back to Cathar a few years before the war began due to increased pirate activity in the sector. Upon arrival, his ship was shot down and crashed on Cathar. After escaping his wrecked ship, he ran to find that the home of Jirila had been destroyed and that his beloved was dead. After finding his beloved dead he went into a blind rage and attacked the pirates and he slaughtered them. It was shortly after this that Varith turned his back on the jedi and instead of helping them, he began to hunt them. As of now he blames the Jedi for the death of his wife since they didn't allow him to return to Cathar sooner. The Doctor Posted July 15, 2011 Share Posted July 15, 2011 I only know the bare essentials of the series, but I swore to myself back when this was in Part IV that I would join in at some point. If this is, as Alkonium says, the final instalment, I'm definitely in. I'll have a character up as soon as I can come up with one... I have a vague sketch in mind, and will take maybe a day or two to flush it out properly. Fair warning though: I'm working two jobs these days, and I may end up being a bit slow in posting sometimes. Once I talk to Alkonium about a few details, I'll be able to finish the rest of it and get it posted. Name: Nasrene Kaytlen. Species: Human. Gender: Female. Age: Just under 24 standard years (born in 89ABY). Sexual Orientation: Generally open, but prefers human or near-human females. Appearance: ~Image Link Height: 165.1cm (~5'5"). Weight: 52.8kg (~116.4lbs). Skin Colour: Caucasian. Hair Colour: Brunette. Eye Colour: Blue. Clothing: All the clothing Nasrene owns once belonged to her mother - all she has left of her, now. Her preferred outfit consists of a sleeveless, low-cut, floral print tunic and black leather pants. She also occasionally wears an old black leather jacket, almost too small for her. Homeworld: None. Affiliation: None. Weapons: None. Background: Nasrene was born in space, on a small freighter in the Mid Rim. Her mother had been young herself when she gave birth - only seventeen years old. She had been sent away from her small homeworld by her own parents, though Nasrene never knew why - her mother lived long enough to see her first steps, but little beyond that. For many years she knew nothing of her father beyond the fact that he was human, just as her mother was. After her mother's death, Nasrene was left in an orphanage in the Halori sector. The administration of the orphanage was unstable at best, and before her tenth birthday the facility had been operated by three different people - and by her fifteenth, that number had climbed to eight. None of these administrators were abusive or unkind, but as Nasrene and those of her agegroup got older, there was less time for them as attention was regularly diverted to the younger residents. Nasrene became quite popular as she entered adolescence and grew into both her features and her figure quite well. The unstable and diminishing care they received in their adolescence led to a great deal of unsupervised time, which in turn led to inordinate amounts of both self and group exploration. Nasrene came to have very few, if any, inhibitions as far as her physicality was concerned. She quickly found herself become very popular as a result. In the years leading up to her nineteenth birthday, Nasrene learned as much from the orphanage as she could about her family. The freighter captain had given his own name when he dropped her off, and the name of his ship had been logged. After her nineteenth birthday, the orphanage was no longer able to care for her by the local planetary law. She was given a small amount of money before being sent away, which she used to buy passage offworld. She first sought information about her mother, but was unsure where to start and thus found nothing. She instead spent a month and a half in search of any information on the freighter on which she was born. She found that its usual route passed immediately through the Halori sector, and managed, just as her mother had before her, to buy passage with the last of her money. From here she learned as much about her mother as the few crewmembers who had known her could remember. She learned that her name had been Jeska; she had come from a world called Ganyllyn in the remote Tanesh system; that she had been sent offworld by her own parents, though none of the crew had ever been told why; and that she had often dreamt of a man named Corwin, whose name she called out in her sleep. It can be assumed that this 'Corwin' is Nasrene's father, though no one ever knew his full name or where on Ganyllyn he might have once been. She also learned nothing of her grandparents beyond their surname. Until, one day, she was captured by a man named Kavrik Zell, a mercenary and bounty hunter claiming to be on the payroll of a Mr. and Mrs. Corwin Castell Sr. He had been hired to take her with him back to Ganyllyn - and had evidently made no provisions in his contract for either her comfort or physical safety. Name: Tavaryn Onashi (Full name: Tavaryn Onashi Kenobi) Species: Human/Avalonian Gender: Male Age: Born during the purge after the Clone Wars Sexual Orientation: Hetero Homeworld: None he can truly call home but he visits family on Avalon Affiliation: Shinigami/Republic Feet Description: Black uniform with insignas regarding rank on the Ackbar; hazel eyes; dirt blonde hair; muscled and flexible due to Shinigami and some Jedi fighting skills; six feet high; shinigami outfit (in storage) Weapons: katana blade; blue bladed lightsaber belonging to his father; shuriken; deadly with hands and feet; heavy assault rifle Backstory: The youngest of the Starlighter children born in a secret location during the purge of the Jedi. He moved around with his mother learning nothing of Jedi techniques but of the sentou abilities. He eventually did master some Jedi abilities but preferred to live in the anonymity of non-Jedi. He became a member of the Shinigami, the secret organization that were said to be the protectors of the Jedi Order. How or why that, it is not certain but Tavaryn firmly believes in protecting the Jedi Order from any threat of subterfuge. After the battle at Setna, he stuck around mainly for the benefit of Alriana in helping her understand this new world she was in. On occasion he takes off on a mission leaving few details. He has an interest in security and computer systems, keeping the Ackbar's controls up to date and currently is with his master. Name: Jun-la Starlighter Species: Avalonian Orientation: Hetero DOB: (same age as Ben Skywalker would be) Affiliation: Jedi Description: She honors the face of her grandmother with dark brown hair and amber eyes. She does have blonde streaks in her hair as a result from her use of sentou combined with the Force. Wears a 3/4 sleeve top (white) the top stops at her midriff. Wears pants with knee high boots. Backstory: Daughter of Andros Starlighter, she taught Greea and Komad's son to be a Jedi but left him at the temple when they left for Setna. Upon returning she continued training him until he was allowed tobecome a full Jedi Knight. She also returned in a relationship with the scoundrel Matton Rand. She now spends time training younglings and going out on assignments always at a state of readiness, as if expecting a battle any moment. After two years, another addition was made to the Starlighter family. Knowing that it was difficult, Jun-la made the choice to raise her daughter outside the Jedi Temple while she trains her padawan. He grew up, became a bounty hunter, and under the encouragement of the Empire, he took to hunting Jedi. For reasons unknown early in his career, he proved highly adept at killing or capturing Force sensitive beings. What scattered records there are of this man suggest that he was killed not long before the Battle of Yavin. However, if you compare the only surviving image of that man with one of the mercenary Kavrik Zall alive and well today, you will find they are one and the same. The story of his death is true; he was killed by a woman named Reibe Vailar, of whom even fewer records have survived. Of her, it is simply known that she was a Force-user, and that she was impossibly old. Her name continued to crop up in the years following his death, the end of Palpatine’s empire, and beyond. Then eight years ago, Kavrik Zall was brought back to life. Two standard weeks later, all mention of Reibe Vailar was lost. Following her death and complete disappearance, Kavrik Zall emerged, calling himself a mercenary and offering his services to anyone who could pay, except anyone allied with the Dark Side. If he's speaking to a Jedi/light-sider/Gray Force-user aligned lighter, he'd tack on, "Now aren't you glad I'm on your side?" If he's speaking to a dark-sider, he'd grin menacingly and add, "Now doesn't that just terrify you to death?" In short, the Force doesn't touch him. Force powers can't be used on him. But he has this sort of innate sense (perhaps born of being beyond the Force's reach) who the Force-users are and which side they lean toward using. Name: Valek Thegas Species: Human Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Straight Homeworld: Taris Affiliation: Galactic Resistance Title: First Lieutenant Weapon: Blaster Rifle, Vibroknife, Vibrosword, Lightsaber DOB: 81 ABY (age 32) Image: Appearance: Valek has a custom-made armor suit that looks somewhat bulky at first. It actually has a lightweight mesh that allows much more freedom of movement than other types of medium-to-heavy armor, and the plates of armor are made of thin durasteel. His armor colors are maroon and yellow, reflecting the colors of the Old Republic before the Ruusan Reformation. He wields a vibroknife, which is essentially a combat knife, and also a custom blaster rifle. Although it was originally a makeshift rifle, Valek upgraded it to have a scope for added precision, and an alternate firing mode, which allowed him to fire one blaster bolt at a time. The reason why he did this is that instead of spraying blaster bolts everywhere and loosing energy, this allows him to take precision shots and conserve energy. He also has a vibrosword for close quarters, and on rare occasions, his lightsaber. Having surrended his original saber to the Jedi Council due to his exile, he crafted a new one that replaced it. It was not the same, however, as he gave it a purple focusing crystal instead of viridian, and the hilt itself was more of a Juyo style hilt instead of Makashi. He carried three sniper rifle shells on both of his shoulders, a string of shotgun shells on his left wrist, and a string of grenades on his belt. The reason why these are on his armor are unknown, as weapons that produced shells instead of blaster bolts died out long ago. It is possible that they are on his armor for pure ceremonial reason, just for show, or to intimidate opponents. Bio: Valek used to be a Jedi Knight, trained from birth. Unfortunately, he was exiled due to putting his fellow Jedi in danger during a mission, which led to himself and Izik Lahn - another Jedi - to be the only survivors of the massacre. Instead of fighting the Council, Valek chose to leave the Order, but had to surrender his lightsaber. During his exile, he recreated a new lightsaber and attempted to abandon his Makashi technique for another lightsaber form that he preferred - Juyo. Having learned it as well as Makashi and Jar'Kai, he tryed to improve his technique, but found himself unable to as he had no master to help him. Feeling that this was for naught, he deafened - not severed - his connection to the force. Less than a few months after his exile, he found solitude in the Republic Army, and served as a footsoldier for a few years. This is when he met a man named Khanis Hullki, who was an expert at crafting armor. At a price, of course, Valek payed him for an armor that provided great strength, yet flexibility. He received the armor and eventually saw himself promoted to First Lieutenant a few years later. After the Third Republic was wiped out on Coruscant, he joined the others in the Galactic Resistance, and he is now forced to reawaken himself to the Force. Unlike most of his brethren - he is rarely seen on the battlefield - instead working in the underworld with his many hidden allies.
